Nice.
I got the following game for Christmas off e-bay that I remember fondly playing in my youth.
I remember that game.
QuoteThe 4 youngest kids 9-15 now want to play D&D badly.
What do you recommend for a starting set?
That depends on several things. We have three DM's in our group. My son and I both run 1E games. My son also has a 5E that we sometimes play. Our third DM runs a 5E game.
Have you played? What edition? Do you still have the books?
I'll tell you if you have played, 5E while it carries the name D&D, it is not Dungeons and Dragons of old.
If you think your kids will play with others their age 5E is probably the route to go.
I prefer 1E/2E, but I do have fun playing 5E too.

Problems in the Church (among the members) is not the same as problems with the Church (see next paragraph).
This is what people often fail to understand.

My other big hobby is Dungeons and Dragons. I've played since about 1977 and still play today. In fact, the group is playing again tomorrow night. My group consists of my son (the other is on a mission right now), my best friend from Jr High forward and his son, a couple of former kids in the ward (now adults) and my bishop. Greatest game ever created.
I love music too, mostly rock and metal. Someday I may learn to play guitar.

So that's interesting . . . someone is definitely watching this forum (insider or lurker . . who knows)!
There is at least one exmo that lurks on here still.

For me and my house, I've followed the guy on Twitter, and I'm trying not to act like a gossipy Pharisee. I am withholding judgment, and reminding myself of the principles in this talk: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/ensign/1999/08/judge-not-and-judging
Right now, I simply don't have enough information upon which to base a righteous judgment. "There's potential cause for concern" is about as far as I'm going right now.
Yeah, but I'll be watching him. I too am following him on twitter.

I searched and found the twitter posts. I didn't search the instagram posts as I didn't see a way to narrow a search down.

H.P. Lovecraft in his stories talked about how the "mad sawing" of crickets was actually the voices of demons speaking. If that is accurate, the cicada is the master races of demons.

I've seen horror movies about giant insects.

Is Dalton Kincaid LDS?
Does it matter? Not sure why you would ask that question.

Puka Nacua wasn’t the only player tied to Utah who set a record Sunday. Former University of Utah tight end Dalton Kincaid broke a 30-year-old Buffalo Bills’ franchise record.
Kincaid surpassed Pete Metzelaars’ record for most receptions by a tight end in a season (68), making it to 73 total receptions, according to the Bills.

I will be better prepared for things to come by paying greater attention to other things I have been given.
This is actually a mentality I teach in my preparedness lessons. I tell people to be in tune with the spirit and let that guide their activities as they engage in preparedness plans and actions.

I stopped paying attention quite a while ago to anyone proclaiming dated timelines too. I still find them interesting to read though.

To be fair, @JohnsonJones is a southerner. When we say “college sports is our religion” we are not kidding. My pic here for almost a decade was the University of Florida Gator, after all! It goes beyond sports. The school with the best drama program? Yup, we think it’s the Gators too.
I think the issue here is a lack of communication.

This is the type of comment I would expect from one.
Doesn't make my statement untrue.

I also don't think Rush is an apostate etc. I don't even think he is extreme. He came up with a plausible explanation and we will see if he got it right or not.

He still has a shot at being correct. If Biden is removed from office (death, impeachment, resignation, etc.) the pattern appears to be correct. If that doesn't happen, then it apparently was a false interpretation.
We don't have too long to wait.
I read it about two years ago. It is quite interesting. As Carb said above, we will know soon if he got it right or not.

Dice, the rulebooks for the edition you want to play and either premade adventures, or a DM willing to write adventures.
Rulebooks needed would be the DMG, PHB and MM.
