  1. Radical Islam is the root of terrorism, not the drone strikes. Radical Islam always has been and always will be the enemy of anyone who does not believe as they do. They will seek to kill the infidel simply for not believing as they do. They have never had problems gaining recruits. It is how they believe.
  2. I work with quite a few veterans. Two of my partners served in Baghdad and were part of an MP unit that found warehouses full of WMD's. They also participated in the recovery of a missile that was fired at them and knocked down by a Patriot battery. The missile contained chemical munitions. I have no reason to doubt thier stories. I have asked them why these incidents were not in the news. They both shrugged thier shoulders. Firsthand accounts outweigh the jingoistic news media that some people take as thier information sources with no cross checking for credibility.
  3. Heaven And Hell (Black Sabbath's name with Dio after Ozzy's crybaby lawsuit).
  4. The Who. Someone needs to go edit Canuck Mormon's blasphemy of the letter R and failing to put down Rush.
  5. 60 rounds of .308 later, I am sore...but a good sore. :) (not to mention 300 or so rounds of 9mm, 200 or so .223). Happification complete.
  6. What makes me happy today, is packing for a trip that will include hundreds of rounds of 9mm, .223, .22 and .308 being expended over the weekend. :) Additional happiness is finding 200 rounds of .308 I do not remember buying.
  7. During prayer: "we are indeed grateful."
  8. At work I treat people with as much respect as they allow me. I try to do better then that on my own time.
  9. It sounds to me like there are family members that are continuing to punish him for his past actions.
  10. If you are concerned about his contact with your kids you really have two options that I feel are appropriate. You can not attend and keep your kids away, or you can be vigilant at the get together and act only if you see/hear/feel something is wrong/dangerous. If there is no active threat, I personally would go with the second option.
  11. I have some suggestions, but they are not very nice.
  12. A church leader once said to me in regards to music, "Do you listen to uplifting music?" I replied, "Uplifting to who, you or me?" Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is definitely music out there that is not uplifting in any way at all, but there is a lot of music that affects individuals differently. I've asked for certain songs to be played at my gravesite after all the ceremonies are concluded. The majority of that music will be by Rush.
  13. You can rape your marriage partner. Proving it may be difficult. No it isn't. Maybe in the particular case you cited, but I have convicted quite a few men and women over the years for DV. Usually when we run into problems with a case it is because the victim refuses to co-operate with the prosecution.
  14. Caught me off guard. If you happen to watch it, there is a scene where the male lead and a female from the village go down to a pool. Skip ahead a couple minutes. I'm usually pretty good about reading the back descriptions of movies to see if there is nudity. I did not do so on this one.
