I saw this with my wife who is a PhD/DO and works as an interventional cardiologist. We both really enjoyed it. The music and visuals were beautiful and inspiring. It did a great job blending the empirical with the experiential. To me, it put to rest the notion that these experiences are just the last gasp of dying brain cells. I don't believe the movie depicted outer darkness, but the separation of spirit prison from the rest of the spirt world. I certainly felt it confirms my faith. The two things the movie emphasized to me are how this life is temporary and not our true home and the immense love and mercy our Father in Heaven and his Son Jesus Christ have for all of us.

I grew up in Oregon and have spent allot of time on the coast surfing and kiteboarding. My parents have a place south of Cannon Beach in a tiny town called Manzanita. Astoria is a beautiful town and the ocean is right there. Im sure youve seen Goonies. Kindergarden Cop was filmed there too. It does rain allot but when the suns out theres no place Id rather be. I live in Boca Raton Florida now but plan to return to NW if that tells you anything. As its been said, Portland is close so Im sure youll be able to get in some single adult activities, youll just have to drive. The wards are small on the coast but they balloon in the summer as tourist visit. Id move there.
