As a kid who was once not so chaste, but has made the change to very chaste, my advice is: Communication is a must! Concerning masturbation... when I first came upon it and those feelings, I didn't even know what it was, or that it was contrary to what Heavenly Father wanted. My parents have never been really comfortable talking to me about those things. I'm not talking about physically what happens, I learned that on my own (all the kids do nowadays) but the spiritual wrongfullness. You need to express to them what it is and why it's wrong. My 2 cents! :)

Oh, what's wrong with Wisconsin? Well, where do I start... it's always either 100 degrees or 30, there's absolutely *nothing* to do here, um... there aren't many other LDS members here... haha I could go on but you get the idea Worst of the 5 places I've lived growing up by far. the mental/spiritual aspect are the only parts that matter for me... and really the fact that it might not necessarily lead to worse things doesn't mean that masturbation in itself is ok... it's still a huge problem that needs to be stopped and dealt with as soon as possible. From personal experience, I can say it was a huge impediment for me in the Church. I never felt the spirit; I felt like I didn't even have the Holy Ghost with me anymore. But then, when I found the strength to stop, like 6 months ago, I felt it again! I felt it so strong, like I was had been rebabtized into the Church again! It was amazing! I'm feeling stronger then ever, and I owe it to my stopping that sinful act.

Hey fellow youth! I'm Dustin, 17, live in Wisconsin (yuuuuck) and I pride myself on my ability to enjoy almost all types of music, except for death metal haha.
