  1. I have no clue, but given the trouble I have just figuring out my wife,I guess me not having a clue is not all that suprising,I will admit my first thought was my first wife though, Thanks alot, I usually dont give her a second thought, lol.
  2. Cant give you any advice as I have never used them, my opinion would be go with the newer models with the improved tweaks. Also since I am a four eyed old fart, I think a little larger screen is ok, but once again, I am not needing one to use like you need to use it, so take this with a grain of salt.
  3. Congrats on your baptism! For me Sunday best was a pair of khaki pants and a polo shirt, because at the time I did not own a suit or white shirt. My baptism was also on a Saturday and my confirmation was on Sunday. But we have also had baptisms and confirmations done the same day if they were performed by someone that does not attend our Branch.
  4. Hi Rivets, nice to "meet" you
  5. hello and congrats, my wife and myself are also the only members in our families, so dont let that get you down,:)
  6. I agree that following the WoW is a way for us to show our obedience and worthiness. I guess my question was more about why the changes to Joseph Smith revelation are not recorded as prominently as the original revelation.
  7. thanks, I guess that is where my confusion comes from, is the fact that it seems so open to personal interpretation. I guess the simpleton in me wants it to be spelled out. I think it comes back to prayer and following the promptings of the Spirit.
  8. I have been reading the Gospel Doctrine lesson on the Word of Wisdom. My biggest question, which I have not been able to find an answer for is, how did the revelation get changed from hot drinks to dont drink coffe or tea, hot or cold? I dont have any cravings for Starbucks ( a terrible waste of money) or anything, just want to know where the doctrine as given by Joseph Smith got changed. Thanks for any help, Randy.
  9. I was at a bible study group meeting at our Branch last night, we were starting with Genesis, and a member brought up that when we see references to God in the Old Testament, that they are talking about Jesus Christ. I am looking for more info on this, as it seems to be a key belief of the LDS faith. Any help would be appreciated.
  10. I was reading Matthew and was wondering if anyone knows why he felt the need to point out the 14 generations in verse 17. I dont know why and was curious if there was any significance to this verse.
  11. Thank you, my wife and I were discussing the book Lehi saw, trying to figure out what book it was. Being an "infant" in terms of scripture, I love this site because I know I can come here when I have a question.
  12. Hi, my wife and I were both baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on October 29,2011. I am looking for places to gain more knowledge of the teachings of the Church.
