  1. (1) Why would he copy from the KJV instead of relying on revelation? Using a word (raca) that we don't really understand today, and refering to the Jewish Sanhedrin? How strange. Josh B)
  2. We discourage plagiarism here. You got this from IRR's (anti-Mormon) web site, so you need to acknowledge their input instead of presenting the work as your own. As I've said, you'd have more respect here if you put half as much effort into gaining an understaning of LDS beliefs as you do trying to "disprove" them... I'm not allow to give links to the site where I got it from, why don't you answer the question? :) Josh B)
  3. love to see a link for that such as.... yup. (one of my favorite sites) obviously you don't understand the concept of "sarcasm" The one from IRR, (it was edited out) Josh B)
  4. Exactly. Not "rewrite" add an update, people keep telling it's not really doctrine unless it's cannonized Josh B)
  5. am I allowed to answer this question without breaking the rules of the board? please forgive me if I am not..... :) Joseph Smith - False prophet (3) no reason to think he was a true prophet. Josh B) Edited By Strawberry Fields Sorry, you are not allowed to post anti-mormon things here. B) This is your warning.
  6. Nice to meet you! Josh B)
  7. lol...I didnt' really think that they would update the D&C just because I recommend it However, my arugment is logical, if the Word of Wisdom has been updated, this update should be in the D&C. Josh B)
  8. I will quote the verse.... Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. It clearly explains what "Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?" means. It refers to "Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit." Not where a person gets their info, but what "fruit" comes from what "tree" I am an advocate of what I consider the truth. Josh B)
  9. First cottage cheese, now olives!? Josh B)
  10. My opinion? Mostly hype, but I assume they could be a positive "life-changing" experience... Josh B)
  11. No Angel of Death? No flaming swords? Frankly I'm not impressed! Josh B)
  12. Why should the D&C be updated? Because (as I have been told again and again) everything is only a prophet's opinion unless it is cannonized. If it says in a Standard work, You shouldn't eat meat in the summer but this in no longer the will of God, the Standard work should be updated. Josh B)
  13. I'm not saying to you should, when I posted that, no one had mentioned that it has been "updated" However, this "update" (in my opinion) should be added to the D&C Josh B)
  14. If I remeber correctly you give the meaning of this verse as something along the lines of "If you want to know about mormonism, only go to mormon sites" (emphasis added)I feel it just means that A good tree doesn't produce evil fruit, and an evil tree doesn't produce good fruit. Not "where" you get your good fuit from. Josh B)
