I'm OCD about the color of my hangers that I put my clothes on. Blue clothing goes on blue hangers, etc.
After someone else has loaded the dishwasher I have to change it around to the way I load it.
I will refold towels if they're not folded a certain way.
I will change the toilet paper to be "over" instead of "under", even when I'm visiting someone's home.  Haha. That may have angered a person or two.  I can see a wife or husband telling their spouse: "I've told you a thousand times I like the toilet paper under!"

My OCD is waking up and going to sleep. I do both activities every single day, without fail, and on good days, even more than that. If a day goes by without either sleeping or waking, I'll pay for it dearly the next day. 

My newly acquired OCD is when my husband wears clothes which are designed for someone +100 heavier than he currently is (he's been so great about working out!!!).  Got so bad today I went through his entire closet and took the too big ones out.  And in the process found ~$300 of un-cashed checks.  So in this case, my OCD literally paid off!

A few younger children were literally crying in the theater because of how intense some of the fight scenes were, but on the whole the film is good. 

I started a secret group on facebook for lds.net forum users so that we can stay connected during the times that the forums go down.  Right now the only people that are in the group are those that I have as friends on facebook.  If you would like to be added to the group, you will actually have to friend me on facebook long enough for me to add you to the group. Then you can unfriend me.     If you are interested, send me a message and I'll send you my profile info.  
The only ones that can see our posts will be members of the group.

Let's be careful how we word things on this thread.  Some people are for Trump and some people are for Hillary.  That is their choice. That's what a democratic society is about.  But we should never demean or put down anyone that says they are for either of the candidates.  Again, that is their choice and we need to be respectful of that.

I am soooo sick of politics and hearing anything about it.

Well what do you know: I have home teachers!  How'd of thought that?  I've never had home teachers in 10 years!  I better get some cookies out of the freezer so that they come back.... 
Anyone else ever have that realization?

Joseph Smith was on-record as saying "I believe the Bible as it read when it came from the pen of the original writers. Ignorant translators, careless transcribers, or designing and corrupt priests have committed many errors" (TPJS, p. 327).  I think in times past there has been an unfortunate tendency among lay Mormons to assume that the Catholic Church is responsible for the bulk of this "corruption"; though I think the church membership is slowly coming around to the notion that the Bible text as it existed by the third or fourth century A.D. is pretty near to what we have today.
Smith produced an "Inspired version" or "Joseph Smith Translation" of the Bible that claimed to correct a number of what he considered to be errors in the biblical text.  The modern LDS Church uses the Joseph Smith Translation as a sort of "study aid" to the King James Version, which remains the Church's formally-adopted English-language Bible translation.  The Bible is considered to be scripture--not inerrant, to be sure; but it is regarded on the same footing as the Book of Mormon "as far as it is translated correctly" (Eighth Article of Faith).  We read it, we ponder and pray over it, we use it as a basis for instruction in our homes and in our church meetings.

As @zil and @Sunday21 have shared, parents who are allowing children to partake of the sacrament are not doing so out of need. Infant baptism and children under the age of 8 partaking the sacrament are not similar. The purpose of baptism, if we baptize an infant, is to save their soul. A child partaking the sacrament isn't saving their soul. They are only eating and drinking water, nothing more. After they are baptized, then it becomes a saving ordinance in connection with their baptism. 
Now, if you feel strongly about this, then I would properly prepare any children you have, and honestly I wish you the best in trying to teach a 18 month old of why he/she can't eat a small piece of bread and drink a small cup of water (because that is all it is to them -- food). If a parent believes in this I have no qualms with it. This is their choice, and I would support the parent. 

Ditto what @Sunday21 said - while not necessary, it does teach them and gives parents a chance to teach them outside church, and help the children feel involved.  I would love to hear experiences of parents who did this for their children.  (I know that we did this as little children, and learned about obedience and reverence through it - as well as the mechanics of the Sacrament.)

The infants and toddlers do not need to take the sacrament. The little ones like to do so to be like Mommy and Daddy. People give their children the sacrament so that the children learn to honor the sacrament. If you have young children you do not need to give them the sacrament.

Personally I wouldn't bother. From what I can remember on the timeline of the dates, they appear to be far and in between. First date Halloween with 2 dates to follow. Then not another one until MLK day which would be in January with a few more that were really not dates.
He is or has left for California and then going on a mission. So there is no chance of dating at least for 2 years. I would just go on my way and enjoy being young. He already said he doesn't want to call anyone his girlfriend.
You can always stay friends. A mission changes a person.
 

I had a heart attack last Sunday after church. The ambulance went to the wrong house...so was delayed getting to my house. My husband saved my life as he allowed the Lord to work through him.
I can tell you for sure that there is a connection with the spirit world. Could it be a trick of the mind? Maybe... but, unless it has happened to you then you could never truly understand it. i truly believe it.

I can tell you for sure that there is a connection with the spirit world. Could it be a trick of the mind? Maybe... but, unless it has happened to you then you could never truly understand it. i truly believe it.

The guy said he doesn't want to be committed before a mission, as concealed by the Lord, and he's holding true to his word.  That's not a bad thing!  Don't except him to do otherwise, and just casually hang out for now.

He is not playing games with you and he his not stringing you along...  He has already clearly stated his intention and is acting accordingly.
 
You might want more...  that is to bad because he isn't going to give it to you.  You need to focus your attention elsewhere...  Until you do you will be stringing yourself along.
 

I second this notion. Are you wanting to seriously engage in dialogue about how to better be prepared in the event a wildfire burns out of control in your area and destroys your home? Or are you playing the part of a mystical creature which we don't mention around here that is generally larger than a goblin, but smaller than an ogre - in the late 80's and early 90's they had neon hair and cute little butts.
 
I don't mean to issue accusations, but I almost lost my family to the flames and don't see it as a laughing matter - that being said if you're truly wanting to learn from it, I can appreciate that.
