  1. Yes, and no. Spiritual sickness is not a direct result of being physically sick. For example, I fell away about a year and a half ago, while I was battling depression, and severe anxiety. Was it the depression and anxiety that caused me to go inactive? No. It was the fact that I gave up on religion entirely. This all goes back to faith, and hope. I have two neighbors. One had skin cancer, and had to have her nose removed. Another, has terminal cancer. Both of them are the strongest members I've ever seen. While they have one of the worst illnesses imaginable, their spirits were more healthy than most other people. Physical illness is just a trial, our spirits are affected by how we respond to said trial. For example, there's something I learned when I took an MMA class a few years back. You can learn everything you need to know about your opponent, by how they respond to your first tag. The mind registers one of two thoughts... Get out, or get in. If your opponent backs up, you know they are giving up, if they get in, you know they are willing to fight. Same thing between spiritual, and physical illness.
  2. This goes back to a deep-doc subject I was working on about a month ago. At the time, none of the languages spoken today, existed back then. Adam spoke the adamic language, or the language spoken in the eternal realm. (it mentions it in the pearl, and genesis, I hit a dead end with it, so I don't have a lot to go on) From what I was able to gather from it, the adamic language was perfect, and was what we all spoke in the pre-earth life, and what we will speak when we die. Now then, we all know that God, and Jesus Christ made the earth, but Michael, (who we know as Adam) was with them, and assisted in the creation. That could be a good explanation of why God left it up to Adam to name the animals, because he helped create them, even though Adam did not remember. I would love to explain more, but I don't feel at liberty to discuss some things over the internet. All I shall say is... Go to the temple, and things will make sense.
  3. Yes, it's going to be different, but as far as how our "spiritual bodies" are going to be, it's not that different. Contrary to what I've seen in a lot of posts... our spirits are, tangible things. As the scrips say, "matter in its purest form" Can't remember the exact verse, but it's somewhere in D&C, and perhaps the pearl. While we cannot perceive them in our mortal form, spirits are going to be tangible. Think of it like the light spectrum, to put this scientifically, while we can only perceive specific wavelengths, there are types of light that we cannot perceive. Does that mean that it's not there, or that it does not affect anything? Of course not.
  4. Yes, many people have held the High priesthood, or as we call it, the melchezidek priesthood. However, the Bible doesn't refer to it as the melchezidek priesthood. It simply refers to it as the "higher priesthood" Adam held it, Noah did, Moses, pretty much every prophet in the bible held it. We call it the Melchezidek priesthood, because Melchezidek was one of the most powerful holders of it, and the first time the bible really flat out mentions it, is when Abraham goes to offer sacrifices to Melchezidek. Hint, don't just flip through your quad, go through some of the writings of the prophets. They really help. Also, try the TG, or BD.
