  1. Hi, I totally understand what you mean. I was raised by a wiccan and a buddhist. Always looking for my spiritual home. When I was 14 I joined the Lutheran Church. It was never home. From the time I was 16 Saints kept crossing my path. I investigated, but was missing this prompting telling that this is the true church. I liked it and started to love it, but my parents totally disagreed. Throughout the years, I met Saints and was always very comfortable around them. However, I partied hard and lived my life... I met my husband who was raised LDS, but had his name removed when he was 18 but still believes in the gospel (long story). His parents and some of his siblings are very active members. It took me some more years until I decided to go to a sacrament meeting when my in-laws visited. And out of the blue, I felt that this is where I need to be. And I got baptized. Don't feel pressured. It took me 20 years from my first contact with the church until i joined. Keep investigating... meet members... aks quesitions.
  2. Hi, what a great decision you made! I am so excited for you! My baptism was on a Saturday and my confirmation the next day during sacrament meeting. Your "Sunday best" are your regular Church clothes. Keep in mind, that you will have to change... Ask the missionaries, if you need to bring a towel. We had towels and socks at our stake center available.
  3. Hi, I live in Germany too. Message me, if you have any questions!
  4. "These is my words" by Nance E. Turner. This book is authentic. The main character,Sarah, is my hero.
  5. Hi Sam! I recently got baptized and I think it was one of the best decisions I ever made. What a wonderful family I joined. Let me know, if you have questions.
  6. Congratulations, BoMISRotJ! I was baptized a few weeks ago and kicked my habbits too. I am okay now with the smokes, but I do miss my morning coffee :) Like you, with the baptism and the confirmation, my urges slowed down. I quit smoking while I was investigating. Coffe the day before my baptism... Hey, we should be battle buddies :) Hit me up!

    Hi!

I try to be nice :) But I do protect my Family. My cousins in Japan called me tanuki when I was really little because I always had a full and round belly (just like a tanuki) and I ate everyone's candy.

    Hi!

Thanks!!! A tanuki is a japanese racoon dog. In japanese folklore the tanukis are not nice... But it was my favorite stuffed animal when I was little.

    Hi!

Hello everybody, my daughter and i are getting baptized in about two weeks. We are so excited and nervous at the same time. My husband was a member of the church growing up. He is supporting us and is thinking about going back. His parents are really happy for us. My parents (my mother is a protestant and my father is a buddhist) are okay with it. I'd like to meet more people and started to make friends in the church. Our Branch (military & overseas) is really small, but I like it a lot. I am looking forward to participate in this forum.
