  1. Yes, that I understand... the two people I see as my LDS parents are married and sealed to each other. My blood family lives no where near me and doesn't care to either and we no longer talk which is why I am asking this question. These two know that I see them this way as well and I was at least able to invite them to my Patriarchal Blessing so I already share a special bond with them.
  2. I am a very recent convert. 12 weeks today actually! I have gone through so many changes since my baptism and confirmation and I've learned a lot, but I have a question I haven't been able to find an answer to. Quick story as to why I am asking/posting this... I know about sealing and children being sealed to their parents or spouses being sealed to each other, but what about converts like me who are 1st generation and have no blood family to be sealed to or may not get a chance to marry? My YSA ward is dealing with a tragic accident right now and it has been getting me to think more about this topic of sealings... can I as a young single adult convert be sealed to an LDS family if they were given that option/opportunity and wanting to do that sealing?
