Great decision, Kimberley, probably the best decision you've ever made. May you find joy and happiness, and be able to share this joy with others. Something drew you here from Europe and now you've answered the call!

Again update!  the problem I spoke of is solved. And another big announcement.  I have decided I'm going to join the mormon church. It just feels so right to me I can't even describe it.

Thank you all! "I already didn't believe the burn in hell thing, it was clear the websitw was very prejudiced towards Mormons. I think so too, cause I'm getting more serious about this now! And I'm really interested in getting baptized.

To quote the black grimoire of death:
"The first resurrection ushers in the millennium – many persons have already come forth from the grave in the resurrected and glorified bodies.  Righteous that lived from the day of Adam to the day of Christ were with him in his resurrection. (Matt. 27:52–53; D&C 133:54-55: hela. 14:25.) To us, however, The first resurrection, the resurrection of the just, will come with the return of our Lord and the commencement of his millennial reign.
'Yea, And blessed are the dead that died in the Lord, From henceforth, when the Lord shall come, and all things shall pass away, and all things become new, they shall rise from the dead and shall not die after, and shall receive an inheritance before the Lord, in the holy city.' (D&C 63:49.)
Non-members of church during millennium – since all who are living at least a terrestrial law – the law of honesty, uprightness, and integrity – will be able to abide the day of our Lord's coming, There will be non-members of the church on earth during the millennium. (Doctrines of Salvation, volume one, page 86–87; volume three, Page 63–64.)
Destruction of wickedness as millennium commences– Incident to the commencement of the millennial era, the earth (the Lords vineyard) will be burned. Every corruptible thing will be consumed. (D&C 101:24);  all the proud and very that do wickedly shall be burned out stubble (Mal  4:1; D&C 29:9; 64:23–25; 133:63–64); the sinners will be destroyed (Isa  13:9–14); and there will be an entire separation of the righteous and the wicked. (D&C 63:54.) Those only [who shall abide] that day [are those] who are worthy to live on a Paradisical or terrestrial sphere."

I haven't read all of the posts so I don't know what your current situation is or if you have or have not yet said anything to your bishop or Stake President. If you haven't, and if you are still delaying this essential step in your progression and repentance, then may I suggest that you write out your confession, in full, in detail, in all sincerity, and email it to one or both of them. The last line of your letter should say something like "Please ask your executive secretary to call me so we can make an appointment so I can tell you this face to face." If you write it all and send it to them prior to actually meeting with them, then by the time you actually meet with them they will already know the full details, and you need not be concerned about seeing any signs of shock or disappointment. I expect that all you would see would be love, care, compassion and concern.

Yes, and no, not in the slightest.  Gossipy busybodies haven't interested me in any real way other than comic relief, for well over a quarter of a century now.
Nope, with a single exception.  When I was a kid, my father's gall bladder exploded and he almost died.  The doctor said if he didn't give up drinking, he would be dead within a year.  My dad accused him of just saying that because the doctor was Mormon, and then he found a non-LDS doctor who told him the same thing.  So he gave up drinking, for like 20 years.  He got by with near beer.  Then, when he was dying of cancer, we moved him out from his home in Utah to ours in Colorado.  He was absolutely dying, it was only a matter of time.  After he got to Colorado, and before we got him in the hospice, he decided he finally wanted a real beer.  I provided him one.  Then he went into hospice and died within 2 weeks.  (Of the advanced cancer, not of anything alcohol related.)  I'm willing to bend my knee at the feet of my Master on the other side of the veil and answer for my choice.  I think JAG needs to go before I do, so I can retain his services as a heavenly lawyer, I intend to plead "honor thy father".
So Dahlia, if you have a dying parent with a last wish in your home, let me know, and I'll officially refuse to judge you.

You do have to wear them if you want to go back to the temple and be worthy to go, after you've gotten your endowments done. No, random members aren't going to really care about the day-to-day or question you about it except the leaders during the temple recommend interview. Heavenly Father will care because you've made the promise to Him to wear them.

Who said anything about knowing it ALL?
Just a little scriptural evidence that knowledge is possible:

I think the above comments come closer to causing me offence than anything I have read in quite some time. I have built my life, and am trying to build the eternal future of my family on certain certainties, knowledge, and absolute truths
There are places where uncertainty does not exist.
There is NO UNCERTAINTY about the existence of God, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, and their love for us, none at all,
There is NO UNCERTAINTY that God has a plan for us and that if we follow it fully we will return to Him.
There is much we can know, and the value of this knowledge is immense.
I KNOW that God exists, that the Plan of Salvation is real, that the scriptures are true, that Thomas S Monson and all his predecessors are true and living prophets of God, either in this life or the next,
I KNOW that Jesus Christ died for my sins and that through His atoning sacrifice, I can repent and be saved from my sins.
And there are many many more things that I and I believe most members of this forum absolutely KNOW.
    There are concrete answers.
The CONCRETE ANSWER to the question of whether there is life after death is yes.
The CONCRETE ANSWER to whether God knows and loves me is yes.
And there are many more questions to which there are absolute CONCRETE ANSWERS
I reject the idea that my beliefs are a result of what I have talked myself into. My gospel related beliefs, and knowledge are a product of revealed truth and guide what I choose to pursue and should be shaping my personality and eternal character.
I reject the idea that uncertainty is that this life is full of. Rather than teaching that life is full of uncertainty, we should be trying to teach faith. truth and our divine identity and purpose - there are no better antidotes to the fear, hopelessness and worry that so often accompany excessive uncertainty.

True. This hasn't been revealed so...what is there to discuss? I'm not sure this discussion would ever be appropriate and always, without a doubt, the discussion would be filled with nothing but nonsense.

True. Unrevealed. No point in discussing.
Every lesson discusses this inherently. They are all based on doctrine and truth.

This was just a cursory search of the church manuals. There were many, many other results. Obviously there will not be lessons on things that haven't been revealed because they haven't been revealed. You're not going to find much on the specifics of our Heavenly Mother, and no lessons on the exact time of Jesus's second coming either.

You mean you say them without conviction and with little thought. Or are you implying that you are a mind reader who knows the convictions and thoughts of other people? Maybe it's your lack of conviction and little thought on the "basics" that are the problem?
Revealed truth is neither. It is merely truth that has been revealed. Someone speaking it after the fact by reading it from a lesson manual or expressing it with great "conviction" doesn't change the nature of it. It is still revealed truth.
That being said, what "compulsion" is there in reading something from a lesson manual in a boring tone?
Every time the Holy Spirit speaks to our souls as a witness that something is true it is revelation. Every person on the earth must go through this process of having truth revealed in order to know God. What does that have to do with "discussion" in Sunday School?
    What about unintelligent people?
    Oh...and also...
O that cunning plan of the evil one! O the vainness, and the frailties, and the foolishness of men! When they are learned they think they are wise, and they hearken not unto the counsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore, their wisdom is foolishness and it profiteth them not. And they shall perish. 2 Nephi 9:28
Yeah...how foolish those fool prophets and apostles are. Fools!
Once again, are you a mind reader? How is it that you claim to know so profoundly what the collective "we" see?
Of course God is the one who organized His organization and called the people therein to be the people therein, and so a claim that truth is separate from God's organization and methods is just flatly wrong. Sincerity doesn't define truth either. Someone can be as sincere as they want in a conviction of something wrong and it doesn't make it right.
