  1. I was waiting for someone to start a discussion about the Twilight series. I absolutely love this book. We did it for a book club, and had a huge turn out. I haven't meet one person who's read it and not liked it yet. It's my favorite book, the only one I've read twice in the same year. (Usually I have to wait a few years to re-read a book). I love vampires, and Stephenie does a fantastic job making them less evil. I'm wondering how she's going to end the next book. I hope Bella & Edward end up getting married, or I'll be disappointed. And what do you guys think about the vampires having a "soul". Personally, I think if they have strong feelings, like love, hate, jealousy, etc. I think that's a soul. So in fiction reality they all stand a chance.
  2. I went through a similar experience when I was 17. I talked to the bishop and family services, saw the movie about adoption, and couldn't for the life of me feel good about adoption. I had a beautful baby boy, finished high school with High Honors, moved to Utah & went to BYU and met my husband. We were sealed as a family when my son was 2 and that was the best blessing I could ask for. He's now 9 and doing well, but I still cry when I see the adoption movies, because it hits so close to home. But I know of many girls who should give their babies up for adoption, I've seen that side of it, too. It's great that the girls can sacrifice and do that for their babies. The families they go to really appreciate their sacrifice. So it's great that your daughter wants to do what's best for the baby. I'm sorry that the father is making things difficult, but you're right Heavenly Father will carry you through this. I wish you the best.
  3. I'm with Vanilla on people driving slow in the fast lane, get over! I'm from Texas and I never hated driving until I moved to Utah-it's awful. I've come to the conclusion that the people that won't move over have these huge egos and they get a high on making people mad because they're driving too slow! Oh, well. My next pet peeve is when people let their dogs/cats roam through the whole neighborhood, instead of keeping them inside or on a leash.
