  1. About 8 months ago our home was in $550k range, now see it valued at around $700k.
Makes me wish we would have had two homes. One to stay in and one we could be selling right now like @Traveler.
Fact of the matter, even though our house is much higher, no point selling because we would be buying at equally high costs too.
So... we do nothing and watch the frenzy before us. Homes under the $300k mark sell in about 1 day and with multiple offers.

    We are a Red state.
Everyone is welcome here, just don't bring your blue state politics with you.

Do you mean Maricopa County (the one who ignores subpoenas) was none to happy to have anything said about their voting procedures? Shocker.
The same county that has restricted and tried to impede the audit at every turn... you mean that group? Shocker again.

Here is Maricopa's latest response. Did the Chairman allow his disgruntled teenager to write this letter?
Yah, Maricopa has impeded the audit at every turn possible. Why not give the auditors access and put this to rest, but they won't.
There is a reason that ballot hard copies are kept for 2 years... for this exact reason.

I think this is a great question, and I think this is one where our faith is required. We do not know, and we do not see, but we exercise faith in God's words and his commandments. There must be something -- yet to be known that is true -- as to why the priesthood is necessary for God's kingdom to run and to be on the earth.

Can I blame them for this one? 😉
    1st suicide =  okay, maybe. A shame.
    2nd = what the?
    3rd = no freaking way!
4th = okay, who is killing them off and doesn't want them to talk about what actually happened that day?

Some children don't have loving fathers at home. Some Primary presidents have decided that, in the interest of sparing the feelings of such children, the Primary will no longer sing "Daddy's Homecoming". Similarly, I have heard that some Primary programs won't sing "We Are a Happy Family" ("I Love Mommy" or whatever it's called) for the same reason.

    This is ridiculous.

I see this in wards trying to get away from comments like 'Happy Mothers Day' or 'Happy Fathers Day'. Talks have started to become 'happy day to all women' vs. Mothers for example.

But, but, but some aren't mothers. Some can't be mothers. So... lets just ignore mothers all together and no longer celebrate them least we offend others. And in so doing we offend mothers instead.

Olympics Allow So-called Transgendered Athletes to Compete in Women's Sports, Yet Somehow Is No More a Joke Than It Has Been for 20 Years

I wonder... just wonder if any country sent their transgender 'men' (aka biological women) to compete against actual men from other countries?
Is this just a... send all our men to beat all their women situation?

One of the most notorious and probably disturbing, from law enforcement point of view, of the arsonists in Southern California was John Orr, who was an arson investigator himself, who turned out to be the man setting the fires – a fatal fire in one case. Yes, John Orr is a rock star in the arson world.  John Orr is the most famous because he is an arson investigator. He was a lecturer on serial arsonists. He was with the Glendale Fire Department.

Like Orr, Fauci is a rock star to many and a scientific demi-god to some.
More and more Covid-19 looks to have come from the Wuhan Lab in China, the same lab Fauci helped fund.
Rather than the Covid savior the media wishes him to be, he more likely played a role as the harbinger of death.
The walls are closing down on him as his gain of function 'scheme' has more and more light cast upon it each day.

Fauci has a deep vested interest to cover his own butt at this point.

I went to the search function and typed in "Ghost."  A whole lot of items from all over popped up.   But right under the search bar, I have a horizontal list of sources I can choose to search from and handbook is one of the options.  I clicked that and it narrowed the list down considerably.  Is that what you're looking for?

Yes, that was perfect. Thank you.

Have you tried a site-specific search from a search engine? E.g.

Sorry, I was looking for search capability once already on the Church's website vs via an outside search engine.
What you shared is a different cool trick I was unaware of though, so thank you also!

  9. Either I'm blind or it does not exist but does anyone know how to 'search' for items on the Church's website but only inside of the Handbook?
If I'm looking for certain things that I know are in the Handbook, the only search feature I see is generic to the entire Church's website, not specific to the Handbook.

    Any insight?
    Thanks in advance.

    - Is the sole purpose of the priesthood purely just administering ordinances?

JST - Genesis 14 heading states:

    Quote

Melchizedek’s great ministry and the powers and blessings of the Melchizedek Priesthood are described.

some of those powers and blessings:

    Quote

    30 For God having sworn unto Enoch and unto his seed with an oath by himself; that every one being ordained after this order and calling should have power, by faith, to break mountains, to divide the seas, to dry up waters, to turn them out of their course;

31 To put at defiance the armies of nations, to divide the earth, to break every band, to stand in the presence of God; to do all things according to his will, according to his command, subdue principalities and powers; and this by the will of the Son of God which was from before the foundation of the world.

Think of professional body builders and competitive strongmen. I believe most to be white but have notably seen representation with most races aside from Asian and Middle Eastern. From how I see it, anyone who starts lifting weights gets stronger.

    Fun FYI:

Interesting documentary you might enjoy: 'Generation Iron 3'. Currently on Netflix if you have it. Goes into Body building around the world, specifically in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
The pinnacle of body building is the Mr. Olympia. The 2020 winner was Mamdouh Mohammed Hassan Elssbiay (lower center pic) from Egypt. Past winners have been from Lebanon and Cuba. 6 of the last 10 winners were Black.  Fun fact, the first winner ever was Larry Scott a member of the Church.

It seems no one else is concerned about the fact that this type of material is infiltrating the Church.

I am very concerned about it, and have been - sorry I didn't expressly say... I think that book and it bleeding into the Church is a bunch of horse crap, it is.
I am saddened by it all and by those woke members especially in leadership.
You may have missed the Queer sister thread from about 3 months ago... many of us expressed our concerns then, this thread is just another example of the turd brownies we are being fed lately.

Any thoughts on the fact that members are reading and spreading this material, or the statement or quote from the image?

    Sure.
Look at the author, who is she and what are some of the things she actually stands for? Are they in harmony with the gospel and are they going to draw readers closer or further to the Savior and his Church?
Some already dangerous and inharmonious opinions from the author:

This is meant to illustrate there is real harm in the patriarchal governance of the LDS Church

    and

It has been over 20 years since my father’s excommunication, and our family is still healing from the trauma. For me, part of that healing processes is ordaining women to the priesthood. Women cannot receive the fullness of the gospel and full participation of the LDS community without it

If people are willing to voluntarily consume her content, then they shouldn't be surprised when they eventually find themselves with damaged testimonies.
This is a "You are what you eat" concept.

  14. Every time I watch network TV I am bombarded by prescription drug ads.
Anyone know why we don't see manufacture specific vaccine ads on TV?
I'm not talking generic, "get vaccinated" ads, but why aren't Pfizer, Moderna, etc. producing ads directly to consumers?

This is not a bait question, I'm curious if anyone knows why not?
I have heard theories as to why not, but looking for any insight someone might have.

I'm going to Photoshop your suggestions in the picture,  but first I have to find the perfect caption for my creation.

Option 1: "Trust the science" says the party who thinks men can have babies.
    OR
Option 2: If you've been vaccinated, please stay six feet away from me and wear a mask.
    We're all in this together.

  16. Came across this video by Elder Bednar. If you are going to watch it, you need to watch it all because the title alone could make you think 'X' but he is actually try to say 'Y'.
Anyways, I enjoyed this part in particular:

    Quote

A related point is that there is a divinely designed difference between a female spirit and a male spirit. You need to read and study over and over again the family proclamation. It teaches that gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal and eternal identity and purpose. Whenever you take those divinely designed differences - the capacities and talents of a female spirit and a male spirit, and they are sealed together by the power of the priesthood it creates a unity and oneness, a whole that can not be achieved by any other way.

There is a lot of political talk about "The Science" but very little data published and explained.  But what troubles me the most is that no one can tell me why data is not made available and open to peer review and public discussion.

    Don't ask questions @Traveler. :nownow:
Questions lead others to doubt. Asking questions is a form of misinformation. Misinformation will get you banned on all social media platforms.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki:

    Quote

We are regularly making sure social media platforms are aware of the latest narratives dangerous to public health that we and many other Americans are seeing across all of social and traditional media and work to engage with them to better understand the enforcement of social media platform policies...

...we want to know that social media platforms are taking steps to address it (misinformation)...

... You shouldn’t be banned from one platform and not others for providing misinformation...

Of course... the real question...'who' actually wields the power to decide what is misinformation and what is not?

IMO, you do yourself a disservice when you refuse to expose yourself to known bias, just because it ain't your bias.

Totally hear you and agree with this assessment.
I simply didn't read the Buzzfeed article further since that type of "Trump lies" bias is repetitive old news at this point.
If 'journalist' would give me something new that was biased I'd most likely read it.
I'm not opposed to hearing the other side, but once I've heard it, I don't need to hear it 99 more times to get the point. 👍

Buzzfeed article immediately starts off with:

Twitter has permanently suspended eight accounts that spread former president Donald Trump’s lies about the 2020 election...

I stopped reading after that. Is any media/news outlet unbiased any longer?
I think journalism has gone the way of the dinosaur at this point, extinct. All we are left with now is opinion pieces disguised as news.
