A couple of thoughts. What you Mother would or wouldn't do, or who she would or wouldn't choose is at best a "guess" on your part right now. In addition the thoughts/understandings/realizations that your mother had while on earth may not be the same as those she currently has in the afterlife.
    ching, ching...my 2 cents.

Being sealed and being married during this life is a bit different.  There is a difference between marrying and living with more than one wife and being sealed to more than one woman because one passed away.

Do you see anywhere in the gospel where God refuses a person their agency?  Don't mistake this for not liking the consequences.  The choice will always be to follow God or not...  If we choose not then we will limit is ability to bless us... but a blessing will never be forced on someone that does not want it.

I reached the pinnacle of cool dad about 2 or 3 years ago, right after cheap bluetooth speakers came out.  I got one, and left it on.  When I came home from work, I stood outside the front door and connected to the speaker with my ipod, and then played cool "cool person in da house" music.  (Here's an example - try not to swoon at the sheer epic coolness.)  Imagine sitting in a quiet living room doing homework or something, when dad's theme song music goes off to announce his arrival.
(Yes, that means I've been declining in coolness ever since.)

Just in case, since we are the internet and tone gets lost sometimes, I'm not trying to argue with any one especially not with @flameburns623, and my tone is very chill. Okay, here goes...
You are correct Blackmarch, Sunday Services are "one brick", however, what about all the other bricks at your disposal. Is a testimony house built on only one brick? 10? 100? or rather 1000s? If you are unable to be edified by one brick, then rely on other bricks instead. If I were in a situation where I was unable to attend my allotted Ward time and lacked spiritual nourishment on Sunday and it was a consistent issue, I might start by:
    1. Scheduling a time through the Ward Executive Sec. and setting up a real meeting with my Bishop. Explain my situation to my Bishop in crystal clear terms. "I am unable to attend our Ward because of..., however, I have a testimony and don't want to become lost or overlooked simply because I can't make it to the Ward each Sunday. What options are available to me?"
    2. I would look at the other Wards that attend my building. I would attend any other Ward I could for any amount of time that I could. I wouldn't care if anyone said, I should attend my own Ward. If my choice is to attend my Ward or "nothing", well I'd take option 3 and go to another Ward regardless. I would leave my records in my home ward and attend else where.
    3. I would look into institute classes offered in my area. We have a local college and they offer institute classes through the week and through out the day.
    4. I would ask my Bishop for a calling that was not super demanding on specific times. I live next to a Nuc. Air Force Base, we have brethren always on call. I use them as instructors for High Priest. I always have an extra lesson prepared if they get called away suddenly. Other callings that work at their own pace and schedule, Membership Clerk, Scout Advancement, Bulletin Designer, Building Coordinator, Etc. I would take anything versus nothing.
    5. I would associate with other LDS members online in a forum
    6. I would watch BYU worship service online for those that can't attend normal services:
    http://www.byutv.org/show/89883728-9bf8-4d39-b699-cb49bc2a51c6/worship-service
    7. Etc. Etc. Etc.
One thing I wouldn't do is give up my testimony. Like Pres. Monson said, "May we ever choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong".

Just so you know--your Stake President just might have been reading my pastor's notes. He said almost the exact same thing. Then again, your state might be ahead of mine time-zone wise, so maybe it was vice versa.  Hmmmmm.

Our Stake President is in our Ward and stood up after all the nice Mother's Day talks yesterday. He said something like:
"We just heard some wonderful talks today. Mothers Day is a nice day, but there are those here that perhaps didn't have a great Mother or perhaps feel that they personally don't measure up to the shining examples shared today in the talks and so they beat themselves up over it. Some Sisters are not mothers and this day is like a knife to their heart. Some Sisters just simply hate Mother's Day, and you know what?... that is just fine. It is okay to hate Mother's Day. Sisters just do the best you can and know the Lord loves you for your efforts."
He sat down. It was very nice to hear.
We are not a huge Stake. We are not a wealthy Stake. We are however a Stake full of a lot of common sense.

I'm a security officer in the contract secueuty field. For much of the past 28 years I held various positions of supervisory responsibility, which often meant I was subject to being called in if there were absences. Even if I happened to have a Sunday off I couldn't expect the pager or phone not to go off and summon me to work.
In any case, security work most often means evenings/nights/weekends/ holidays. That's when the officers worked, that's when the supervisors had to be in the field to check on them and assist them.
I accepted a position a year or so ago as a lead which includes weekends off. That has been nice. And since I am contemplating a return, I am able to attend services these days.

NeedleinA reacted to thoughts in LDS perspective on Embryo donation
My thinking on this subject of embryo and sperm donation is that God has prescribed a certain way of having children, in cooperation with Him.  Further, He has seen fit to preserve information about the miracles that can achieve the end of child birth, when it seemed physically impossible by any mortal means.
If God means that two more children will be born to you, and must be born to you, then He is quite capable of making sure it happens (without  outside intervention).  If it doesn't happen naturally, He will not in any way be upset with you for not being able to do it: desire to do it, and trying to do it --- iow, your personal best--- is always good enough for Him.
I think it is clear that we are each individually going to be held accountable for how we use our procreative powers.   And I don't think trying to override what God does with others because someone wants a child badly but cannot have one even with extraordinary medical procedures is in keeping with submitting our will to His.   Is the child born to someone else using our sperm and egg (specially if we have been sealed) ours eternally, no matter who gave physical birth?   That is a real possibility.   What if that child isn't appropriate taught the Gospel, or doesn't get to experience what s/he was supposed to learn or grow because they are not in our family:  won't we also be responsible for that (the child clearly won't be responsible in any way, as s/he had no choice about their birth).   What about the possible confusion or damage when they are grown and learn that you gave them (the eggs/sperm that made them) away to someone else?
For me, the very human desire to have and raise children has overtaken God's plan and acting on that desire in the artificial ways that science now makes possible, doesn't change the fact that it is NOT how God set it up.   I don't think God's plan prioritizes giving spirits bodies by any means possible over family (which includes the reproductive powers of any couple).

I use cornmeal because I had dogs (assume people with kids would have similar concerns), and didn't want to use poison where it might impact them, and since it worked, I still use it.  (The dogs also ate grass, which is why I didn't use weed killer in the back yard while they were alive.)
I kinda like the ant-eater idea, but I think you'd have to let him roam the neighborhood to get enough ants, and the neighbors might freak out a little.

I can imagine.  However, we don't have any in our ward, or stake for that matter, as far as I know.  I guess we have a pretty good ward, but we are mostly in a good area.

Corn meal.  They can't digest it.  They'll carry it down into their nest and feed the rest and they'll all die.  It can take more than one dose (there can be a lot of them underground), but it works!

It is ant season here. I went to the basement to review my arsenal. Most of my potions worked to some extent but one was really disappointing. I took it down from the shelf to record the name before chucking it out...I got a good look at the label..

You can also add the word "clean" next songs on Youtube and find edited songs.
Not that it is really relevant any longer, but you used to be able to go to Kmart and buy edited music CDs from most artists.

This was happening in our previous Ward except it was happening during the week for Relief Society Enrichment nights. I only know because the Priesthood was tasked as the babysitters so all Sisters could attend RS Enrichment night. Fun times, Gold Fish (the wonder treat) and Disney dvds saved my bacon many times!

Sorry, I wasn't implying you are one of the "active dinner eaters", only that they do exist. They tend to be the first in line after the prayer and have already loaded their plates with 2nds & 3rds, hah!
