What statements did they say that were not true?

Shucks, no 'gay agenda' after all. My bad. I thought they were after my conservative kids.
Honestly, the fact they are trying to make light of what they are doing, doesn't negate what they are doing.

    Nothing to see here folks...

I don't believe this. It was an honest message that they obviously sincerely meant couched in a modicum of humor so they had a "it's satire" escape route when they got the criticism they knew they'd get. But it was not satire. They said what they meant and they meant what they said. They want to convert everyone to their idea of what love and tolerance is. That's what the lyrics said. And they mean it.

Well, obviously it's satire. That doesn't change the nature of the singing. It's a huge F-U to anyone who doesn't support homosexuality as a valid lifestyle choice.
Remember, these are the people the Church happily hosted on Temple Square. Building bridges and all that, you know. Now we see the bridges they're interested in building. Surprise! (Not.)

I just landed my first job as a software developer!  God get's all the credit, though.  This job was made available to me in a way that could only come from Him.  I was at Young Men's Camp with my oldest son a few weeks ago. While there, I had the opportunity to talk about my efforts to break into IT with a brother I was already moderately acquainted with through having served in the High Priest Group leadership with his father.  He encouraged me to meet with the IT Director who is also self-taught and grew himself in the industry from the ground up.
Fast forward to last Monday; we go to lunch together and hit it off pretty well and as we are about to leave he says to me, "Hey, I have an opening. . . you're not qualified for it, but if you're interested you can apply, and worst case we can get you some good feedback and point you in the right direction."  I was exited to see what the interview would be like, and to get more advice, so I accepted.  Wednesday, I get into the interview and I can tell it is a mixed bag performance.  All the management type questions I am easily hammering out since I've been in management for many years now, but as far as the development questions go, I probably scored a 40%  just from lack of familiarity with certain concepts, due to only working on hobby projects and never within an organization.  Having developed two fully featured front-end applications and one full-stack application was much less valuable since they were all as the sole developer.  At the end of the interview the IT Director repeated, "Just as a reminder, you're not qualified for this position, so we're going to talk about what if anything we could do, and worse case, we'll get you some good feedback and advice."

Two days later he calls me and offers me a job!  He laid out a plan with a specific path to get me get me the experience and qualifications to put me back in a leadership position over a team like I am now.  I have the personal drive and God given talent to ultimately be successful, yet only in my dreams have I ever imagined someone would be willing to take a chance on me like this!  The pay cut is only about 10% with the opportunity to be back at or above my current income within a year depending on my performance.  This is a blessing that only God could have placed in my path.  Without God softening the heart and granting vision to this IT Director with whom I have spent less than 3 hours time and have known only since last Monday, I can't imagine being given such an opportunity.  I start next month and I am so excited about the continued learning and opportunities that lie ahead.
I am so grateful to my Father in Heaven; I know and testify that He loves us individually and is intimately aware of the desires of our hearts, and our talents and capabilities.  I pray that He will continue to bless me as He has thus far, and that I will never forget Him, that I may always be worthy of His Spirit and His outstretched hand!  I will need it now more than ever, as this is only the beginning of this new road.

I just came across this song, I had no idea there might be some history or future event between the Church and this group.
I'm hoping that they will not be coming to Temple Square if this is the type of content they produce now days.

Okay so what's on your summer plans?  What have you done?  What do you have plans to do?
In a few days I'm driving to Atlanta to watch the San Diego Padres beat the Atlanta Braves.
The first full week in August I'm flying to Las Vegas for a week long convention.  I'm really excited about this one.  3 private concerts.  Dan +  Shay, OneRepublic and Pitbull.
In September (I realize it's not summer) my daughter is coming out for a week.  I haven't seen her in 2 years due to us moving to Texas and then of course COVID.  So excited for this.

This week, I plan to work.
Next week, I plan to work.
    The week AFTER next week...
    ...I plan to work.
The week after that, I'm planning to work.
The first week in August, I plan to work.
The second week in August, I'm working.
BUT THE THIRD AND FOURTH WEEKS OF AUGUST, I'M GOING TO HAWAII! (And taking my computer, in case I need to work.)
After I get back, I plan on going back to work.
I can tell you my planned schedule for September through December, if you want.

    1. No, we don't. Diversity is a state, not necessarily an ideal or a negative. As the gospel spreads throughout the globe, we will absolutely get diverse perspectives. In and of themselves these are neither good nor bad.
    2. I feel the Lord wants us to follow His perspective, but there can be a lot of diversity alongside that.
    3. See number 1.
    4. I believe there is a single Iron Rod that is accessible to everyone. It may be a straight and narrow path, but there's plenty of room. I believe the world tries to declare the Iron Rod to be things it's not.

I disagree.   The issue is many families aren't teaching their children values or the worth and importance of liberty.  Additionally, those that are teaching CRT, Communism, etc aren't teaching children to think critically.  They may "say" they are, but they aren't.  They are indoctrinating their children.   This is no different than the millions of other families, including us, that are indoctrinating our children.   I give them a foundation of my beliefs.   I hope they develop an affinity for, or a testimony of, those beliefs.  I hope that they examine those beliefs and have an unshakeable understanding of them.  Then I send them out into the world.   Hopefully, as they encounter new ideas and opposing beliefs they sound those ideas off the foundation they were given, accepting what fits with their world view and rejecting what doesn't.
With many households no longer focused on the family, those children are open to indoctrination by anyone.

I wonder how many people last year bought guns solely as a direct result of watching the unchecked riots take place?
We bought guns last year thanks to said events.
This Congress woman wants to thank those who let riots take place.

Today's options for homeschooling are greater than they've ever been before.  You could literally get the equivalent of a high school level education with just Youtube alone.  And that's just ONE website.
For college level education, there are some caveats.  Most subjects are taught on Youtube.  But to really get that equivalent education, there are some things that require practice, submission, correction, commentary, discussion, etc.  And that requires real-person interaction.
I was fortunate enough that I basically had college prep courses throughout my jr. high and high school levels.  We had classes that went through all that.  But for what passes as a high school diploma (even back in the stone age when I graduated high school) really didn't require all that.
Unless you find that one hermit family in the middle of the deserts of West Texas who has no internet, there is no real argument that says that people can't get a high school level education on their own.
