anatess2 reacted to Just_A_Guy in OK what happens after judgement? kind of a corny question
    1.  To view the degrees of glory as something you either “earn” or “are sentenced to”, is to miss the whole point of the Plan of Salvation.  It’s not about what you do; it’s about what you become.  To suggest that you’ve reached a point in life where you are no longer able to become celestial material—or to suggest that, having become celestialized, you are “owed” a certain form of existence—is fundamentally to deny the atonement of Christ.
    2.  The scriptures suggest that physical pain itself is a condition limited to fallen mortality.  As far as how a resurrected body would react to a maiming-type event:  it’s all conjecture at this point; but it seems to me that most maiming-type accidents are either the result of a) careless/limited information/foresight by the injured person, and/or b) being subject to the powers of a malicious third party. I have no reason to believe that either a) or b) would be the case in eternity.
To speculate about a resurrected being getting their arm stuck in a meat grinder, or stabbing another resurrected being just to see what would happen—one may as well ask if God would ever torture kittens for fun.  I suppose it may be physically possible, but His perfected character—and those of resurrected beings—renders it utterly inconceivable.  That’s what the thousand years of hell does—it offers individual deconstruction as an alternative to individual destruction.  Where it succeeds, the result is redemption and a nature that renders the individual—if not fully prepared to join the council of gods as a peer and exercise divine authority over new generations of creations—at least finally able and willing to abide some form of law that renders them absolutely harmless to others. Where the process doesn’t succeed, the result is perdition—the state of being lost—the only state, according to scripture, in which there has been no redemption.
    3.  I don’t know whether sexual desire will even exist amongst resurrected beings, or solely among certain classes of resurrected beings.  But if we spend our time in the here-and-now wondering about spending an eternity having sex rather than—say—spending an eternity composing symphonies, or studying architecture, or calculating gravitational constants, or making the perfect soufflé, or just watching a sunset and shooting the breeze with our loved ones; then the world (and especially, our sexual urges) are probably dominating our priorities a little more than they ought.

    NEWS FLASH
List Member Occupying Space In Another List Member's Mind
    No rental terms released yet
5 July 2020 (THP)—Mister @priesthoodpower of ThirdHour revealed Sunday evening that he was "occupying space" in the mind of another list member. There was no indication of rental or other financial agreements, leading some to speculate that his occupation of the mind was "rent-free". priesthoodpower has not yet responded to this allegation, but informed sources suggest that this CHAZ-like squatting may be in retribution for the brain space others have taken rent-free in priesthoodpower's own mind through the years.
priesthoodpower expressed regret for this unauthorized occupation, tearfully proclaiming, "My apologies for occupying space in his mind." He then went on to speculate about the ill effects of his extralegal occupation, worrying that "Dude must not sleep well at night."
The identity of the victim of priesthoodpower's mental occupation was not explicitly identified. Most who are close to the situation suspect he is referring to @pam, who functions as the list custodian and behind-the-scenes disciplinarian. One unnamed source disputed this, saying that the use of the noun "Dude" and the pronoun "his" clearly suggest a male victim. The unnamed source was quickly condemned by all involved as a blatant sexist. Nevertheless, the possibility of a male victim, while distasteful, withstands scrutiny. Some have suggested that @Just_A_Guy is the victim of priesthoodpower's occupation, while others point to @MormonGator. A few even suggest that, in an ironic twist, @Carborendum himself lies at the center of the controversy. A second anonymous source named @anatess2 as the real occupyee. When it was pointed out that anatess was in fact female, the source responded, "Well, yeah, but she watches MMA."

And old lady in my ward joined us for sacrament meeting yesterday.  Her great grandparents on both sides were slaves.  She grew up in Mississippi and she was 8 years old or so when she looked out her bedroom window and a man was hanging off the tree across the yard.  What's more, her sister in Maryland died last February of cancer, her brother died of Covid in Chicago in March and her cousin died of Covid in Mississippi in April.  She has been on chemo for the past 5 years due to complications with lupus that I don't understand.  This has caused her bones to be very fragile like that Shyamalan movie causing her to have several fractures all over her body.  Talking to her yesterday gave me hope for the future.  All these terrible things have happened to her and continue to happen to her yet she is the most positive and upbeat person I have ever met in my life.  I asked her about race relations today and she said, direct quote, "these people don't know what racism is".

I have a hard time understanding rap lyrics so I only like a very few of them because the repetitive beats just get boring after a while.  I listened to Kanye's new song and I didn't get it until Knowles talked about it here and I went... whoa!

We talked a lot about Joseph Smith last Sunday.  It was noted that Joseph Smith was in the middle of a Presidential campaign when he was martyred.  It was noted that Joseph Smith ran as an abolitionist on that campaign.

There's a ginormous difference between a surgeon who submitted to training to do surgeries in a mask while breathing down the innards of a person and the everyday guy who is FORCED to wear a mask while walking around Walmart.  And there is a reason why @Carborendum is not a surgeon.
And yes, you should nag about how you are oppressed when you've done nothing but stay home and go to Walmart for the past 4 months and you are GUILTED into wearing a mask by social pressure and then by government tyranny.  YOU WEAR A MASK if you so desire.  Stop being such a gaslighter to people who do not want to do so.  Fad Science is simply that.  FAD SCIENCE.
The next step is for you to social pressure other people into taking the vaccine.  Then social pressured to get digital chipped so they know you've been vaccined.  Then social pressured to house arrest for whatever other else YOU consider the Fad Science of the month that makes you feel better about yourself and grandma so you won't live constantly in fear of dying.

Yes, it's supposed to be a less lethal alternative to firing a metal bullet, although the same Georgia DA who ruled on the Brooks case is the same DA that ruled the taser as a lethal weapon when it was fired against an unruly student resisting arrest.
But you're looking at a taser in the hands of the person who is supposed to be holding a taser.  This is not the case in this situation.  The taser was in the hands of Brooks the perpetrator, not Rolfe the cop.  In this case, Brooks, purposefully fired it upon the cop... which means it was intended to incapacitate the cop WHO HAS A GUN.  The next step to that altercation is for Brooks to take the gun from the incapacitated cop and fire it.

It isn't.  Try it sometime - get yourself shot by a broken water pistol, then get yourself tased.

The alternative is for Brooks to stop beating up his kids, stop getting sent to jail, stop driving around drunk as a skunk while on parole, and stop getting violent against police officers.  You cannot expect the police to not defend himself against violence when all he wants is to go home safe to his own children.  The fallout is overblown in this case.  If Brooks was not black, this would be an open and shut cop-did-his-job case.

We had a great backyard Sacrament Meeting last Sunday.  We had a Joseph Smith Restoration theme to reflect on Joseph Smith for his death anniversary.  We had a recording of my Missionary son playing the Joseph Smith Medley (First Prayer, Poor Wayfaring, Praise to the Man) and a talk reflecting on the life of Joseph Smith and the Restoration Proclamation.  We had 3 other ward families join us plus my in-laws and 5 ward missionaries so we were a bigger than usual group.  The cool thing is the missionaries can now enter our home!  So, even as we continued to hold sacrament in the hot and humid backyard with birds flying and dogs running all over the place because it's harder to set up in one place indoors, we were able to hold dinner inside the house so we can fellowship in relative comfort.
I enjoy Taylor and Tyler and I've watched some of their videos.  I also enjoy @prisonchaplain's sermons although I haven't yet got to the last one he sent.  I'll for sure go through it this week.  Thanks, PC!

Zooweemama!  You're getting tons of fruit out of that yard.
My watermelon has several flowers but no fruit yet.  My yellow squash and zucchini rotted on the bush in the week-long wet monsoon.  Tomatoes and eggplants have had steady harvest.  The peppers got eaten by caterpillars.  We've been harvesting tons of green leafy veggies.  Overall, not bad but could be better.  I've been hit or miss with this square-foot gardening method but I'll give it a couple more years to see if I can do better.

I don't think so.  The media has still retained control of what bubbles to the surface of social consciousness.  They don't have to burn down the town to hide secret works.  They've managed to hide all that for centuries.  Want an example?  Hollywood rapes and pedophilia.

HOWEVER...  I just harvested another two.

That is a 50 lb watermelon.  It is about 23" long and largest diameter of 10.5 inches.  I'm saving it for 4th of July weekend.
I also have another one at 45 lbs.  I think I'm going to give that one away.  Then there are a few that should be ready by next week.

Utah has currently risen and New York has currently fallen to about the same risk of threat.  New York is suddenly safe (except for other problems of violence) and Utah is now considered unsafe???
If anyone is concerned with the "science" as per @MormonGator, @JohnsonJonesor anyone else - then have everybody in the family tested.

As a side note - I have a daughter and others I know that have spent every working day  of this crisis in hospitals caring for those in critical need because of COVID-19 (often those providing care have  not had enough of the recommended safety gear) -- many of that received the care have died.  Everyday my daughter returns to a home with two individuals considered a great risk to COVID-19.  None in my daughter's home have been tested - yet.   I believe we could solve the world's renewable energy crisis if we could figure out how to harness the wasted energy of worrying.   Not the worrying that was worth it - just the worthless worrying.
