Last night, Elder U gave a talk during the Priesthood session.  He discussed a person named "David".  Well, if you heard that, you heard about my conversion story.  I am the "David" he was talking about.  He told my story (with my permission, of course)

what do an attorney and a sperm have in common?  They both have a million-to-one chance of being human some day

oh...and good memory re: President U's talk!   He later ordained me as a High Priest.  Was simply incredible.

I am also an actual Texan.  Further, I am an actual Texas attorney.
As to Wilson and Adler, never lost a trial to anyone in either firm.  And I rarely trust attorneys who call themselves names...lol.
They are both decent attorneys, though.  Not sure if Bailey & Galyen still do that kind of law, but they are an awesome firm...(I used to be a managing attorney there....)
There.  You have three possibilities, depending on if any of the three do that kind of law.  I am not certain.  If you need more info, let me know.

Well, since I edited the post, it now will be known that the resident non-LDS MormonHub.com moderator spoke well of an Apostle's conference presentation.

You are most welcome.  It was odd hearing my story like that. But I feel humbled and blessed

This is just another topic people often use to dig at Mormons while most Mormons realize the topic is not important to our Salvation.  Who really cares where it was?  Does the knowledge, or lack of it, affect my daily activities?

I left the Church for 26 years.  I came back last year.  Just do it a step at a time.  Stick with the basics.  Ask for support....pray...study....attend.

UtahTexan reacted to Sunday21 in Reading scriptures for the tired and confused
I have finally come up with a scripture reading system that works for me. Read Book of Mormon morning and evening for about 15 minutes. Read the 24 hour Book of Mormon first so I know what is going on. If I am really tired read the same chapters over again morning and evening. Progress is slow but at least I am reading scriptures. I listen to podcasts on the lesson by the interpreter foundation on Sunday's. If I find the material boring or confusing, I go to the website'step by step through the book of Mormon'. I bought a timeline for the Book of Mormon on Amazon. Very helpful! Lots of people have the same name and there are flashbacks! If I don't know who someone is, wikipedia! My solution! And if I am really tired there is an app, gospel library that has an audio function. Wish I had figured this out years ago!

This goes under the category "I will Cross that Bridge When I Get to It."  I do not see the purpose or value of worrying about it now.  If I do what I am supposed to do, it does not matter who it is

I left the Church i n 1989.....came back in 2015.  I had to have a church court, get rebaptized and then wait a year.
All I can say is: going back to the Temple for the first time was amazing.

There is a difference between caring about the lives of others and being stewards.  We can do service for others and teach the gospel without having any kind of stewardship over them.

2 Who art thou? Suppose ye that we shall believe the testimony of one man, although he should preach unto us that the earth should pass away?

Alma was teaching those in Ammonihah
    They asked him this.
Do you know what is amazing about this verse?
The people were invoking Jewish Law.  Jewish Law requires at least two witnesses.  They were invoking Jewish Law!
How would they have known Jewish Law if they did not have Jewish ancestors?
And how would Joseph have known that?
Evidence of the truth of the Book of Mormon.......

I would die for it...not because it is a book, but because it is part and parcel to my beliefs.  I would not believe the Book of Mormon or the Bible if I did not believe in God.  How can I separate God from His Word?  He is the Gospel....the Good News.
I doubt anyone would threaten my life over the Book of Mormon that was not also threatening it over my belief in God.
