The answer to that question is No.
I want to point out that there is no such prophecy. There is an in depth article that can be found on byustudies if u google Edwin Rushton white horse prophecy.
Two parts can be sources to Joseph Smith. 1. That the constitution would hang by a thread and 2. That the saints would find refuge in the rocky mountains. Both have already occurred. The rest is speculation about some future event that will never happen.
The church refuted the white horse prophecy in 1918. It is not a reliable document. It is based on the false notions of mankind who do not understand the Book of Revelations. The 4 horsemen of that revelation have already come and gone. Any reference to them now is just fuel for Hollywood fictional drama.

God's help. He asked and got answers and recorded those answers. They have helped a lot when it comes to understanding revelations.

I believe the reason it happened was described in Mosiah 8, that men will not that she should rule over them.

All of which have symbolic meaning. God doesn't really have 7 eyes across His land

That makes sense and is the reason I have a problem with the Holy Ghost being our Heavenly Mother. However, Joseph Smith said that the Father is a personage of spirit in one of his famous lectures (Lectures of Faith 5) which has been interpreted to me that He is a resurrected being. It seems likely, that Heavenly Mother is also a resurrected being and therefore also a personage of spirit which is why I leave that door open. I have no concluded one way or the other which is true.

This is a valid point and is aligned somewhat with LDS doctrine.

God, in LDS belief, is a being, not a state of being. God is defined as the ability to continue the seeds. Though we might have all knowledge and power, it would be relatively useless if we could not continue the seeds.
No. your explanation does not make sense.

True. What happens is that when some things are not true and have been altered by bad translation, they can affect other understandings.

One reason for believing that our Heavenly Mother is not the Holy Ghost is that logically, I figure she must be a resurrected, embodied person, while we are told that the Holy Ghost currently does not have a physical body.

The trinity is three: He, His Spirit and the son. I have stated His spirit is a girl, and won't repeat that.
I don't know what role the 4th you listed would play.

Some of it isn't. But there is plenty of truth to be found in the Bible.

That makes sense, that a ghost is how society refers to the spirit of someone who had passed away... such as in popular culture, when ghosts appear, these being of humans who died but who for some reason, wander around without a home. I am curious about the history of the term being used for His Spirit as I don't like that much, since it implies a disembodied being, and obviously Miss has an immortal gorgeous body, which I saw (even though she can be a presence to be sensed as spirit, or a pillar of fire, etc.)

I don't believe all of the posts on this board represent LDS views as a church. They represent the personal views of a few individuals. Your OP was spot on. Now we're talking about something different that may or may not be related to your OP. As with evangelical sites, people have their views and often, they believe that their view is the only correct one, but no one knows everything, so don't worry about it. No one can take away a personal experience. They may disagree with your interpretation of that experience but they can't change the actual experience.
    Or, perhaps, reasonably discussed.
While I agree that the trinity does equal family, I also believe that we are part of that family (all of us,  including Satan and all that followed him). I may be taking this out of context, but it appears that you, here, are presenting them as an exclusive family with no other members in it.
But we also believe that all of us have always existed and will always exist. Families, therefore, had to come later and I believe this is what brought us from beings who have always existed into spirits in an order of eldest is spiritual order but born in mortality in genealogical order in the meridian of time. Our spirits were begotten by the word of God, the Father, simply by organizing us into families, all of which, I believe we had a choice or an input into that structure and order.
This would suggest that there was an election (the scriptures suggest that there was a well) and that the three operate by agreement and capacity. Not by nature of their substance or being.

"Holy Spirit" and "Holy Ghost" are synonymous.  Scriptures use both.  LDS Christians do tend to use "Holy Ghost" slightly more, which is purely a cultural thing.
It's part of the Book of Mormon.  Link: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/1?lang=eng

Yes. That's my point exactly. So, here's my suggest... you go study the scriptures and when you find a passage that says the Holy Ghost is a man, not appears in the form of a man with a vague reference to who that spirit actually is or some masculine pronoun passages and then we'll have something to talk about. Until then, we really have nothing further to discuss. You have your opinion and I have mine. You could be wrong. I'm most definitely not.

I saw that. I read that wonderful interview as well and in my reading, that wasnt the holy ghost but was the pre-mortal Christ.

I so understand what you and others believe, but I don't see a problem with my view of trinity = family. It's perfect for me.

That's a good link. Thanks for that, had not seen it before.
I do pray to He and She, since they are One being - as brother of jared pointed out above somewhere - but that's just me. (hope I paraphrased him correctly on that.)  Since they are one being then praying to Him includes praying to her. Just as every child asks of both their mother and father for help, love and guidance.
I know of hardly anyone else on earth who does pray to her specifically, similar to you Jane, of course, which means many agree with what you wrote....  but I think each soul should follow their choice of belief and that it's not for me to tell anyone what that belief will be. Each is saved to Him alone, by themselves, by their choosing Him. I would certainly NOT be interfering with any soul's choice.

It's not the same view. The trinity is a word that describes three members of the Godhead. We can all agree on that. Your definition is exactly in line with that definition. You're view, as I understand it also has three members in the Godhead, you just believe that one of them is female. You are not alone in that understanding. I have to say, I agree with you, there are a lot of nitpickers around here. In addition, I'm utterly shocked that no one here, that I've seen so far, can see the familial relationship in the Godhead. I have to wonder who the people on this board think we are. Maybe they think that God really isn't our Father in Heaven or maybe they don't see that as a Family relationship.
    I'm stumped.

Having reached the end of all these posts, I thought I might address how the trinity is a family and their relationship to all of us.
I believe that spirits are not born, they are organized. I believe that this organization took place according to the word of God, the Father and that is how He is our Father, literally. He organized us into families, starting with Father Adam down through all time, placing his Son, Christ in the meridian of time.
In such an organization, that allows us to be both children of God and children of our mortal Fathers. Thus the Trinity is family as are we all.
I'm not sure how our Heavenly Mother is involved in all of that, but I don't believe there was any procreative activity going on to make spirits, not even Christ. I believe, like as it is here, that Christ brought us out of chaos into light and brought us to the Father where we were begotten sons and daughters of the Father by his word.
It's all about family and it will be forever more.

I was willing to interpret e v e's description as referring broadly to the nature of God, rather than specifically to a revamped understanding of Trinity. I appreciate your take though. It is too easy--and wrong--to redefine the understandings of others--especially in 'debates--and especially to setup strawmen.

Well, we know who the mother of Christ is. There's no problem there.
How do you know that e v e's post wasn't addressing that set of issues? In fact, it appears that's exactly what she was addressing. What is the LDS view? But what we got here is a false statement that we believe the Trinity is not a family when I believe that we believe that they are.
I admit, there are some terminology issues. I struggle with definitions of other people also. I've struggled with them in this thread as well, but it seems that it would be reasonable to learn what the other person's understanding of their terms are, even if they are not similar to ours, to level the playing field.
As for Heavenly Mother, we know she exists. We don't know what her role is. Some modern Christians have postulated that her role is as the Holy Ghost. I don't agree with that. You're right, we have no scripture or doctrine to clarify it, but isn't it amazing that modern Christians are coming around to realize that not only does she exist, that she was an important part of early Israelitish worship. Here, we have another self-proclaimed Christian who also believes that there is a heavenly mother. That's progress in my book. I'm not sure why you all are playing soccer with her head.

At this point I simply want to thank you. You've shared what comes across as a viewpoint that you grew into through spiritual experiences and revelations. Your understanding of God is uncommon in Christianity. Is there a religious fellowship that you are part of--one that shares your understandings, or at least affirms your experiences and relationship with God?
