It's an interesting question.  In our day, we emphasize that each member of the Godhead is a distinct individual, but all united in purpose.  In no small part, this is to counter the false teaching of the Trinity.  The Book of Mormon people had never heard of the Trinity, but being from among the Jews, the idea of only one God would have been hyper-important to them.  This is reflected in the Book of Mormon text where, despite knowing of each member of the Godhead, they seem to go out of their way to emphasize that there is only one God.  There's no telling whether, in their heads, they thought of three distinct persons, each being God, or whether they thought of three distinct persons acting together as a "God-unit", or something else entirely.
The fact is that They are one, so each individual is God, and any subset of Them is God, and all of Them together are God.  (And trying to figure out / remember the capitalization rules is making me wish I was born in Germany...)

That's how it is with iniquity in general in our day. Save for a few crimes that are still socially regarded as wrong, you are not allowed to say negative things about doing wrong because that implies casting judgement on the doers of them. To do so is divisive and meanspirited, which apparently matters more than the actual doing of right or wrong. This is even starting to include being too public in one's own right actions because doing right can only be motivated by wanting to make others look bad.

Any talk of personal responsibility for embracing one's salvation is dismissed by many as "earning your way to heaven", and asserting that sin is real and that it separates us from God is characterized as denying the pure love of Christ. All manner of false doctrine exist. We cannot blame individuals for the existence of Satan's lies. But it is clear that at least some actively embrace the victimized "not my fault" mentality, eschewing all accountability for their actions. They will find to their dismay that their Creator will indeed require an accounting at their hand, despite their protestations.

It's my observation that people who don't keep their covenants often think it's "mean and drives people from the church" when you talk about keeping your covenants.

When Sotomayor and Jackson both join the majority in a unanimous decision, you know you're an idiot for your illegal actions. What an unmitigated failure for Colorado. What a rebuke to the orchestrating Democrats and other leftists. What a deep embarrassment to any sentient American who supported such a farcical move.

Say what you will about Trump, he does indeed have many distasteful qualities. But at the end of the day the left promotes policies that are far more destructive of the family, society and the Constitution. Some of which are flat out EVIL. I personally cannot justify voting for that.
There are no good options right now (at least not viable ones) so we just have to decide, policy wise, what matters most. If we can't have it all, what is at the top of the list? For me there are a few deal maker/breakers, including:
    They must support religious freedoms.
They must not support elective abortions.
They must be supportive of parent's rights in the education of their children.
They must be supportive of policies that strengthen and promote the nuclear family.
I'm sure there are others but these immediately come to mind. There are also many that aren't deal breakers but I still really really want.
But in each of these instances Trump is far more likely than Biden (or those who pull his strings) to support these types of policies. I didn't vote for Trump the first time because of the kind of person he is but I have to admit that he acted more Conservative than any other president since Reagan and actually fulfilled some campaign promises that others only promised.

Not me.  You can't preach the gospel anymore without someone telling you to focus on forgiveness and compassion and stop teaching that we're expected to keep our covenants because it hurts their feelings.

I don't believe it for a minute.  While I'm sure it's true our theoretical allies aren't spending much on their military, I don't think this is the true reason we're spending so much on ours.  It may be what people say, it may be the excuse they give, it may be what people believe, but it's not the truth.

After years of study and meditation (which recently I had several years to do) I finally realized it's about authority and the temple. When Israel's priests weren't behaving well, where could the people take their sacrifices? They still had to take them to the same priests at the same temple. So, using that scriptural precedent - even IF the Church is having issues, your access to eternal temple covenants remains with the authorities of the Church.

We have lived in our same house in northern Utah County for 36 years and have been in 4 different wards and back and forth to a couple of those wards. Our street seems to be the dividing line when the wards get split or realigned. The small community we moved into has really grown.

Well, to be sure, this is hardly a phenomenon from the right.  It's not uncommon for me to hear my woke millennial buddies, talking about how grateful they are to live in Portland or Seattle or Cali, where people who actually care about humans are in charge, and good sane progressive policies are more abundant.  They roll their eyes at Texas and Florida, wondering aloud what must be wrong with people to go live in those barbaric spaces, where the people and the government hates the rainbow and women.  They're enthusiastic about Colorado, which seems to be pulling itself out of it's history of white colonization.  (This is a rough summary of their comments over a few years on the topic, and yes, I've seen eye rolls.)

I think the difference is that many circumstances require us to live with our teams 24/7 and depend on them for our lives.   Unit cohesion and trust is important.   If you can hump your own gear, not to mention the extra gear a team requires, you're a liability.  If you bring your drama to the unit, and the unit isn't allowed to sort it out, you're a liability.  If you can't execute your assigned position due to mental or physical ability, you're a liability.  If your relationship with a member of the team affects your, or their, ability to execute their assignment you're a liability.  Liabilities can lead to mission failure and or team death.

We changed stake boundaries about 4 years ago.  I don't know what is considered a "larger geographic area", but from my house at the edge of the ward to the other side is about a 50 minute drive.

That's about the size, perhaps smaller, of the ward I was in when we lived in upstate NY.  I have no idea if there are rules on how geographically large a ward or stake can be, and if there are, no idea how they reconcile it when the various rules seem to conflict...
