It took me until the middle of the second season to figure out what was going on.

I love the first presidency under President Joseph F. Smith. They dove deeply into the doctrines of Christ. I wish we had the patience for this kind of letters from the First Presidency. Maybe someday, but we have become intellectually lazy in this world of constant distraction. Reminds me of this scene from Mr. Robot where his "dad" tells him this. LANGUAGE WARNING:

"Ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor, saith the Lord God of Hosts." 2 Nephi 13:14 Rich Men North of Richmond

I watched the entire thing and although I do not agree with everything he says, I felt he made some valid points.

Just because the writers of the chapter headings think they are Nephites is not proof. There were many lamanites that were survivors of the destruction at Christs death.

I have these and I think I might take a look finally.

We don't know that the Three Disciples were Nephites.

We could call it Sunday.

I have these, I just haven't started them, but I just found the Audiobooks at the library sight so I may just listen to them.

Everyone is our neighbor.

My neighbor is a non member, but he is the most generous person I know. I am glad he is my friend. We need to see everyone as our brothers and sisters and stop siloing our lives.

The entire book is filled with warnings that apply to us now. We really need to read and study the Book of Mormon more. We are going to need it. I had a mission companion that was reading and memorizing the book when I was with him. He was up to Alma by then. I wish I could do that.

Very true, I have come to dislike the term Christianity since I learned that the early followers of Christ called themselves The Way. Christian is a derogatory term created by the Romans. Kind of like Mormon.

I see two direct scriptural correlations to our day. Helaman 1-2 and Ether 14-15

How many of us can truly say that we live this directive in our daily acts. "the works which ye have seen me do that shall ye also do; for that which ye have seen me do even that shall ye do" I know I can do better, much better. I know when I swear at another driver for cutting me off, and lay on the horn, that I am not doing this. I have a temper and I know that it does not help to do this. I remember one day I had just come from the temple and this happened to me, but I was thinking about Jesus and instead of getting mad, I just said to my wife, "Man, he must be in a hurry, I hope they are able to make it there in time." I felt a calming influence from the Spirit, because I was paying attention to Him.

Orson Scott Card was my favorite author until I discovered Brandon Sanderson.

The Ender Series is fantastic. My favorite though is Children of the Mind.

Most Disney content is filled with Woke indoctrination.

I suspect we understand eternity about as much as a two year old understands how to build a Hydrogen Bomb.

Power corrupts, absolute power is kind of neat.
