Hello all,
I'm looking for 2 quotes from general authorities.
First quote deals with being friends after a divorce. I'm paraphrasing, but the gist of the quote is "if 2 people can remain friends after divorce, why can't they in marriage?" I think it could've been President Monson.
Second quote deals with failed intimacy on marriage. Again, paraphrasing, but the Church leader said something like "some may find their love has grown cold, that the marriage reduced to embers" then something about connecting with each other, applying the Gospel to their lives and forgiving, "intimacy would become as a roaring fire". I think it could've been President Kimball, but the "love grown cold part" only produces one talk on the Church website, which is good, but not the quote I'm looking for.
I've scoured the Church website and Google. I can't find either. Maybe a few scriptorians here may recall these or someone can lead me in direction.
