  1. I encourage you to read Alma 32. As previously stated, praying, fasting, studying the scriptures, coming to church - all of these helps the spirit stay with us. I promise you, that if you regularly pray with a sincere heart and with that desire to believe, it will come. Alma 32:27 "But behold, if ye will awake and arouse your faculties, even to an experiment upon my words, and exercise a particle of faith, yea, even if ye can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you, even until ye believe in a manner that ye can give place for a portion of my words." Alma 32Â*
  2. English, Danish, had German 3 years at school...
  3. I believe there are homes, incomprehensibly beautiful homes. As well as architects to design them, workers to build them etcetera. I think the little things that we might see as unnecessary are a great part of making it beautiful, every little sandcorn.
  4. Yeah I believe I have. The dreams I remember (right now at least) are ones where I've in one way or another ´pushed the direction´ of the dream. I do the snoozing thing as well lol. When I was younger (before 10 years of age) I had a specific reoccuring dream while having open eyes as well, where the entire room suddenly became tiny all around me.
  5. There's a whole lot of bad stuff out there, but to me there are great blessings with it. Being able to watch the conferences and speeches, open up Liahona, do geneaology online & keep contact with my friends wherever they are is a great blessing to me. I do wish that all the bad stuff wasn't there though =).
  6. I'd be searching for the truth, still having the light of christ (although possibly not knowing what it is) I believe I'd pray, ponder and search for the true path in life - I don't think I'd belong to a certain religion with my heart.
  7. I haven't studied the bible much, so it's hard to say if there's something specific that is better explained or shown in the book of mormon. But I do know that the book of mormon excellently shows eternal principles and truths. A question that a lot of people face is how you can actually know for sure if this is true, it's well explained in Alma chapter 32 how faith will grow from a seed to a tree, and we will see the fruits of our faith - whether it is good or bad. And the quite direct guidance in Moroni 10: 3-5. They show us how we can come to know our faith. The book of mormon is special, it changes us to the better - I know it. Even as I think of things I've read in it, trying to remember the words, I get a peaceful feeling inside. When I read it I feel spiritual growth inside me - sometimes more than others, and the holy ghost fills me and lets me think clearly.
  8. Just recently I recall hearing someone quoting (I do not know who they were quoting); that we can afford to have trust in people, because if they let the trust down it will be repayed. I think it's important to trust in other peoples potential as children of God, and if it seems like they are not living up to it, keep on trusting - it's a process.
  9. It reminds me of an old movie we saw in a seminary class long ago (I vaguely remember it so this could be unaccurate), where this family was planning to get together on the planet and be together forever as a family, and then they get all these children but one, and suddenly they don't want another child (their decision), leading to the last child unable to come down to her family. I'm just thinking that if this child that is born by an addicted mother, had been planning this with the mother before she was born, then it's the consequences of the mothers actions that has led to it.
  10. That was my initial thought as well, we should be grateful for all the time we can spend on earth because we won't be able to repent from all our sins as effectively in the... spirit world (sorry I haven't got all the english words memorized yet but it is åndeverdenen in danish, the afterlife where the body is seperated from the spirit) And much like the evil spirits that Jesus forced away from a man in the bible, where they would rather be in the pigs than have no body, shouldn't we be grateful for the oppertunity to have the time we can develope enlengthened, so we can more fully repent from our sins than if having no body? That's just how I think I would feel if I was in the situation myself; but I guess it's very individual, and rests on the things Hemi said a lot as well, thanks.
  11. Hello everyone =) I was just recently asked a question by my father, it was about wether I thought it was the right thing to have people living only through the means of a respirator; meaning that they would die without it. It was because the news just recently an elderly woman asked the doctor to shut down her respirator, and he did it. She had been living off that thing since she was 6 years old... What are your thoughts on this? Are there any scriptures or statements by general authorities that could give a better perspective to it?
  12. Thank you! Nice to be here =).
  13. Hello ^^ I'm a 19 year old man from Denmark, I actively attend church (LDS) and I'm also in the process of filling in my mission papers =D. In my spare time I love listening to music, and playing guitar. I also enjoy reading and playing computer games once in a while. Nice to meet you (I apparantly registered several years ago o.O... but I guess I forgot)
