  1. I have a '97 Pontiac Grand Am... but i hate it! I think it's haunted... So I can usually be found sportin my sweet '08 Diamondback Edgewood! It is great for brisk winter morning rides.
  2. You see, this is where I think the disagreement arises. From what I've read in your posts, you seem to believe someone who is not totally devoted can be considered a fence sitter, even after making a choice. I would say that once a choice is made, no matter the level of devotion, the person is removed from fence sitter status. In my mind, the fence sitter is neutral, and on either side is a spectrum ranging from barely devoted to completely devoted. I would even go so far as to say it is impossible for anyone to ever be a "fence sitter." Matthew 12:30 tells us "He that is not with me is against me..." Even in not making a choice, you have still made a choice. It is the Lord's side with whatever degree of devotion, or satan's.
  3. JBS- So does Heavenly Father's opinion not matter to you then?
  4. Here are some of my thoughts on the issue: I imagine that if marriage would last for this life only, it would be of no eternal consequence. Lately, I have been thinking a little bit about Christ's relationship with us as His people. Many times throughout the scriptures we hear that as a people, we are the bride, and Christ is the bridegroom. “For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name” (Isa. 54:5) "I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord God, and thou becamest mine." (Ezek. 16:8) To me, just by rights of comparing our relationship with Christ to marriage shows that marriage is important. He entered into a covenant with us as a people that if we will obey, we will become "joint-heirs with Christ...that we may be also glorified together." (Rom. 8:17) This covenant is everlasting. If marriage were not everlasting as well, why would He compare something as powerful as our relationship with Him to something so weak that it will not last beyond this life? In my mind, marriage must be as eternal as our relationship with Christ is to be.
  5. We couldn't leave our rooms Christmas morning until my dad came and brought us out, which was never before 9am. I can't tell you how many seconds I counted trying to pass the time from way early in the morning when I would wake up until my dad would come get me to open presents all those years!
  6. With just the fact that the people are on the earth now, we know that they made some sort of conscious effort to follow Christ. Even if they weren't extremely valiant in this conviction, I would say that removes them from fence sitter status. In my mind, a fence sitter doesn't make a decision at all. Those in the spirit world either chose to follow Heavenly Father's plan or not- no fence involved.
  7. As a general policy, I try to stay away from soda completely. I've found I feel much better drinking just water than I ever did on soda. Plus, I don't even have to worry about whether what I am drinking goes against the WoW.
  8. you're old too!! lol I was born in 1990 (lds as well)
  9. I agree completely. I have never had a problem sleeping a day in my life, but I find myself staying awake just so I get get a little more studying in or spend some time with my family after a hectic day. There's never enough time to do everything I want and unfortunately, sleep always comes last!

    Hi hi

Hey welcome to the site! Hope you like it here
  11. Hopefully we all learned that we need to check our math before we send out chain letters!
  12. I can just imagine her testing out your skills. "OK, drop down and give me a perfect pushup. Now make a drum-tight bed."
  13. I banish demons back to the fiery pits of hades by bearing my testimony all the time Does that make me a Ninjormon?
  14. small gathering. lots of people scare me... skate board or roller blades?
  15. Well at least I got tying a necktie down! ..But looks like I still have a lot left to learn. Flying a stunt kite is pretty high on my list.
  16. I don't know. You don't really know where any other ingredient comes from, so why would anyone care about not knowing from whom the breast milk is coming? I'll join in with Elphaba in questioning the matter. Why is it more disgusting coming from a human than an animal? I mean, cows are dirty and smelly. But in any case, I don't really care what comes in my food as long as it tastes good and is good for my body.
  17. Mmm you gotta love the shot-gun blast attack tactic.
  18. The best thing I have done to avoid sweets is to not keep them at my house, but I have to avoid the candy aisle in stores entirely. The harder you make it to indulge yourself in sweets the easier it becomes to avoid them I think. Good luck defeating your sugar monster!
  19. Congrats on your progress. I agree with begood2 that you might want to add a bike to your regimen. Easier on the knees and a lot more fun than jogging (imo). Plus, you can get outrageous mileage per week. (I get about 90 mi/week riding between home, work and school)
