  1. Whats even better she's an aussie! Led to believe she's a member of the Cooma Branch which is in the Canberra Stake, the stake I'm a member of.
  2. I remember reading in the Ensign in the early 2000's that tattooing and body piercing was only "allowed" on medical grounds. I assume a convert with tattoo's isn't a problem. I've been able to attend a Temple as a tattood member and didn't have any problems, and the Bishop who Baptised me knew I'm tattooed was there as well.
  3. If you were here in Canberra Australia you most likely would have got a Cannabis Infringment Notice which is a fine, like a parking or speeding ticket.
  4. 2 Nephi chapter 10 verses 22,23,24 and 25
  5. As a recovering addict (clean for 21 years last December) you have to hit rock bottom before you can help yourself.
  6. 22 cel / 64 f here in Canberra Australia at 8am
  7. Rather than getting a Credit Card with high interest I have a Visa debit card which I can use the same as a credit card but I use my own money.

    Grits

Heard of grits. For the benefit of those of us not in the US or surrounds, what exactly is grits?
  10. Dan, as tubaloth posted you need to do something else to break the habit. Find a new hobby or interest to keep occupied. Don't just do it on a Friday when the other problem occured, do it every day so you are in the habit of doing it daily.
  11. Wasn't sure weather to post this elsewere or start a new thread, so I started a new thread. :) So forgive me if I should have posted elsewere. Here in Canberra Australia Gay and Lesbian Unions are legal. While they go through a ceremony its not classed as a wedding and its not recognised under the Marriage Act so its not a "legal wedding". The ACT Government did try for legal marriage for same sex couples but was knocked back by the Federal Government due to same sex weddings contraviening the Marriage Act
  12. After talking to a former Bishop I understood him to say/mean drinks like Coca Cola/Pepsi are ok.
  13. Legal drinking age here in Australia is 18 years of age. Has been since the late 1960's from memory. Did hear there was talk of putting the legal age for drinking back up to 21 years of age. I don't think it will stop underaged persons from getting alcohol.
  14. Hi IronLion Welcome to LDS net I'm in Canberra where are you?
  15. On the subject of murder/killing where do those that kill feral animals, (me included) stand?
  16. Here in The Australian Capital Territory (Canberra Australia) Same Sex Unions are legal. Not a marriage as defind under the Marriage Act, but on the way to it I believe.

    The Blade Runner

When I saw Blade Runner I thought it was the movie! Saw him on tv here tonight he sure can run!
  18. I drive taxis and on occasion I've found the odd wallet thats been left behind(mainly because they've been drinking). On one ocassion there was a large amount of money in a wallet. Lots of $50's n $20's. Could have pocketed the money and thrown away the wallet, but no sure as I do it'll come back to haunt me. As it was 2 am I ended up leaving it in the mailbox of where I dropped them as they're regular customers. Saw them a few day's later and asked if they got the wallet. They did. Money intact. Told them I left it in mailbox as it was 2 am when I dropped it in mailbox and they woud have given me a knukle sandwich if I knocked on their front door!
  19. Have driven a Ford Focus on a 300 kilometer trip, not a bad vehical but would choose a manual gearbox over an automatic.
  20. It's easier to give up the heroin than giving up the cigarettes/tobacco going cold turkey
  21. If a person has committed a crime, been found guilty or pled guilty and paid the penalty by either doing time or paying a fine, where does that person stand in regards to LDS membership?
  22. I saw a program on tv here yesterday (Thursday) about Zimbabwe, Mugabe rules the place with an iron fist. Inflation is way out of control, a bottle of tomato sauce costs more than an average person earns per month! Most shops are out of goods to sell, only those that have foodstuffs to sell are visited by those who have a money supply from outside the country of are from the government. Hospital services are so poor - few drugs and medical supplies.
