  1. An actual sound recording of President Wilford Woodruff bearing his testimony. Pretty amazing, I'm not gonna lie. YouTube - The Prophet Wilford Woodruff's Testimony
  2. One of my friend's made this about a year ago, thought you all might enjoy it. YouTube - Strength Beyond my Own
  3. At my old stake dances, 'Goodnight, Sweetheart' was usually still the last song...I don't like the dances they have up here at BYU-Idaho that much, practically no slow songs at all. And they're the only ones I'm halfway decent at!
  4. I have some experience in bad winters, but nothing as bad as some of the stories I've heard about Idaho. I hope I'm ready too...
  5. Mine's similar to havejoy's, except the ritual chanting was in Scandinavian. How they got that particular language I'm not sure I'll ever know... O_o
  6. Yeah, right now I'm using XAMPP to make me computer a portable server. You can get onto it by using my IP Address instead of a standard URL. Unfortunately, this method tends to be frowned upon by most internet providers, so access to it is on and off. That and the code for the forum I designed is being finicky right now, keeps generating errors and not retrieving things from the database like it should...I'll hopefully get to fixing it while I'm on the road to Idaho tomorrow and the rest of this coming week.
  7. For my graduation project in my senior year of high school, I decided to organize my family's genealogical research into an online web database for my family. I'm familiar with the PAF program, but I wanted to make it an easy-to-use interface that was accessible to members of my family without having to take the time and trouble to transfer files. Now that school is over, I'm still working on it when I have the time to do so. I was just wondering if anyone else has done something similar.
  8. Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it. I leave tomorrow morning, we're driving cross-country. Should be fairly interesting, I've never been farther west than Nauvoo before.
  9. Cool, another Trek fan! Never really talked to you on the other boards, but glad to have you here!
  10. We don't talk about that, it was a painful and traumatic experience... O_o
  11. I've thought about this question numerous times since the furor over the Da Vinci Code several years ago. The Savior was baptized by John the Baptist, despite the fact that - having never sinned - he didn't need to. However, baptism is a necessary part of our salvation, and so John baptized him. Isn't eternal marriage an important part of our salvation as well? Wouldn't it, therefore, make sense for Jesus to be married just as he was baptized in the River Jordan?
  12. I'll be starting at BYU-Idaho on the 12th of September, was just curious if anyone else here goes.
  13. Well, didn't think I'd be joining another board for awhile, but here I am. I'm another immigrant from MA&D, but I haven't posted there for a while; I was Gohan. Well, I just graduated high school this year, and I'll be headed to BYU-Idaho in about 36 hours or so. I'm going to be majoring in History Education and I really want to come back and teach at my old high school someday. I'm a big SciFi fan too, although I tend to read it a lot more than watch it. I do enjoy seeing DS9 or the new Battlestar Galactica when I get the chance. I'm a web designer of some small skill; I made a family genealogy site for my high school graduation project. I also want to write a novel someday, I've been planning one out in my head the last four years, and it'd be a shame to let it go to waste. Let's see, what else...oh yeah, I'm from Pennsylvania. Yep, that's about it...I'll see you on the boards!
  14. This is going to be as amusing as it was on MA&D, I can already tell... :-D
