People have short memories when they talk about January 6th 2021.
In 2005, thirty-two Democrats in Congress including Barbara Boxer attempted overturn the results of the presidential election by objecting to Ohio's electoral votes in an attempt to elect John Kerry.
In 2016, celebrities saturated the media asking in December that the State electors swing vote for Hillary Clinton in the presidential election instead of Donald Trump.
Elections have been contested throughout history in America.  They will continue to do so in the future as well as long as America exists.

    Indeed...

    My prediction/conspiracy theory is..
No matter who wins the loser will claim election fraud as an excuse for poor behavior for losing.
But neither party will be proactive in securing the election because neither one are sure they can win a fair vote.  Calling fraud is too good of a tool for either side to risk giving it up.  Thus furthering our slide into the Divided States of America

I'd agree with voters showing up to vote with ID (come on folks, it's not THAT hard to get an ID, it takes TIME though), with the caveat...they NEED to open more voting places if they want everyone to vote in person...INCLUDING the areas that do not lean towards your party (there's been a move in some states to get rid of voting locations in large urban areas....and try to restrict how many can vote in those urban areas).   Also, make it so that an employer can be FINED if they try to make it so that their employees do not have time to vote...OR try to mandate (same with unions) or force their employees to vote a specific or certain way.
Ensure every US citizen who has the right to vote has the opportunity to vote...and I'm right there with you in saying that making sure those who vote have identification and show up in person at the polls is the right thing to do.

    Suspend?  No.

Cheat?  Yes.  I would argue they already are with the attempts to keep Trump off the ballot.

I think the difference is that many circumstances require us to live with our teams 24/7 and depend on them for our lives.   Unit cohesion and trust is important.   If you can hump your own gear, not to mention the extra gear a team requires, you're a liability.  If you bring your drama to the unit, and the unit isn't allowed to sort it out, you're a liability.  If you can't execute your assigned position due to mental or physical ability, you're a liability.  If your relationship with a member of the team affects your, or their, ability to execute their assignment you're a liability.  Liabilities can lead to mission failure and or team death.

You don't have to like the person you're serving with, but you have to be able to operate with them.

Nope. Even if they want, we should proactively discriminate against certain things when it comes to the military (specifically I mean trans and women. Trans because I believe they're mentally unfit, and women because women shouldn't be fighting and dying for us).

That's a non-starter for too many. I, for example, would literally kill and die without hesitation before I'd let them send my daughter off to war. I suspect, that despite the corruption and evil in the world, that there are still too many who feel as I do in that regard.

The US military, and a few other militaries, are facing similar issues.
To put it simply, the same demographic groups most likely to encourage their children to consider the military as an option are the same groups most likely to be frustrated and appalled by the efforts to make the military more "woke", and so they're no longer actually encouraging service.
Couple this with the events of the last 20+ years, and people no longer see the military as a "three hots and a cot" proposition they can fall back on when they're in financial need.
Parents and other groups are also *discouraging* outdoor athletic activity due to a variety of factors, and so we have large numbers of younger individuals who are no longer physically fit enough to pass muster.
And the same "woke" nonsense means that even if someone is physically fit enough there's no guarantee that they're mentally or morally fit.
Western society has been poisoned by "woke" and we need to purge that poison.
Worst case scenario? We have to start going back to conscription to meet our defense requirements, possibly including conscripting women.

"Sensible mum, stupid dad" is a bit of a trope. There was The Flintstones, Berenstain Bears, the Simpsons right through to Family Guy. You're right - Hank and Peggy Hill were an exception - though some of Hank's friends were a bit on the stupid side. Especially Dale, who for all his subtle conspiracy theories, never saw what was obvious to everyone else (except for a while Peggy).

The washing of feet was an ordinance. That is completely not understood by wider Christianity—by pretty much anyone who is not a Latter-day Saint—though it's glaringly obvious to us. They turn the washing of feet into a cheap trope for treating strangers nicely.
But even beyond that, a point that it's hard to hold non-LDS responsible for missing, the commercial is a disaster on many levels. It's condescending, filled with leftist tropes, unchallenging, hippie-Jesus, about as tasty and satisfying as overcooked pasta with no sauce or butter. Matt Walsh had what I consider to be a very good take on this.

The Berenstain Bears lived in a tree.  Papa Bear was an idiot and Mama bear was the sensible one.
King of the Hill was one of the few television shows where the Dad was not idiot.

Hmmm.  Sometimes, just because you CAN DO A THING, does not mean you SHOULD DO A THING.

Legal immigration.  If we need to reform some laws on how that works, I'm okay with that.  What is going on now is unacceptable.

There are terrorists that have used our current "not really a border policy" to enter our country.  If you think they do not have ulterior motives you are an idiot.

Some people say we believe in "a different Jesus".  They say that if one doesn't accept the Nicene creed, then one isn't a Christian.  They say if one doesn't believe in the Trinity (which I can't even explain - @Carborendum has explained that we believe in three separate beings with one purpose), then one isn't a Christian.  In other words, it's not enough for them that we believe in God the Father, his Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost - we also have to believe in various creeds (which are not part of the Bible and were formulated by men long after the original apostles were gone).  Because we don't believe those, they say we aren't Christian.

My son freakin loves his mission.  When he got called to Farmington NM I sighed.
I hate NM.  Got like 3 speeding tickets going thru a 30 mile stretch (NE corner of the state) back and forth from Texas and BYU during undergrad.  Total speed trap 65 MPH on Texas side and 55 in MN - and no one lives along the road, its totally abandoned other than dirt, weeds, scrub trees and cops dispensing citations!
Anyway, he has been in the Zuni Pueblo for 3-4 months and absolutely loves it.  Lots of service (mostly chopping firewood).  Confiscating alcohol from the members and the occasional dime bad of cocaine.  Had to explain that we don’t take possession of illegal substances.  And teaching the gospel.
His letters are great.  And his attitude is spot on.  The ward Sunday attendance has gone from < 10 to over 40.
Once again the Lord knows best.

One small part of my faith is the law of Entropy.
The law of Entropy is the natural tendency of things to lose order. Left to its own devices, life will always become less structured. Sand castles get washed away. Weeds overtake gardens. Ancient ruins crumble. Cars begin to rust. People gradually age. With enough time, even mountains erode and their precise edges become rounded. The inevitable trend is that things become less organized.
The Universe has so much order in it as do many things on this Earth.  How did this get organized amid the chaos?  My answer is the God of the Universe.
The main reason I believe is the continual witness of the Holy Ghost in my life and my work with the LORD God.  He is always there for me to help and lift me up.  Daily prayer and scripture study keep me in touch with Him.
