  1. Anybody you want. Yes non Members attend all the time (the more the merrier) If you don't keep a journal (or Diary) I suggest you do so now. It can even just be thoughts you type up on the computer. Talk about what you are leaning and the questions you have. Then when you get an answer to the question do a follow-up. But even more write down how you are feeling. The Spirit (as I'm sure you have felt) is a feeling that gives you thoughts. Or more its the Holy Ghost talking to your spirit. It can be hard for us mortals to understand it and explain it. Even more when its gone it can be hard to fully remember how it felt. So write it down!

  3. I would think satellite is more reliable then internet. Assuming its working.
  4. This is back to the idea of the difference between the church and the gospel. Again being Single It is hard sometime being in the church. (Going to church isn't that bad, its probably more ward partys I don't go to). It really just reminds me that I need to get married (and aren't sure how to do it at my older age). But then I turn to the gospel part, I try to do my calling and try to help others that might not have the time. I try to remind others of events or commitments, even though its probably not technically part of my calling. As you realize salvation is something you obtain with Christ, you do what you can. Genesis 2:18
  5. I don't think there is any rule about this. If you feel comfortable with how it looks go for it.
  6. I don't think the answer has to come yet. I hope you have talked with the bishop about these feelings. I hope you are still reading your scriptures. What would you do instead of a mission? School I assume? I don't think I ever really prayed to know if I should go on a mission (being a guy and all). But I always felt from reading some of the Missionary chapters in the Book of Mormon that it was something I wanted to do. It wasn't until after I got my mission call that people wanted me to pray about my mission, which I felt was right. (then later in the MT do I get a firm testimony.) I think the question is pretty simple "Do you want to go on a mission?" Yes or no? It kind of sounds like its a no, because that question has always been a no before. Take your time.
  7. I'm trying to start out to get some food storage. I know there are two options 1. Buy all ingredents and then make the meals yourself when its time. Pros and Cons? Con I cook mostly mac and cheese and TV dinners. 2. Buy the food already I guess freeze dried, but the meals are already made. Just add (hot) water. Pros and Cons. Pros. Easier Cons-- Stuck with the selection they give me. So I probably would like to do number 2, just where do I start? Really I would probably be happy with a week, but maybe I could do a month. Yep I'm single!
  8. We aren't having more kids in the Resurrection. The kids we have are those that died before or while we were in mortality. But those kids will be Resurrected.

  10. Sounds like more you need to explain the Priesthood, but that goes a long with knowing there is a true church. Which sounds like is going to be hard for him to understand. That would come back to a Joseph Smith First Vision type of thing. Honestly sometimes people have to get a little confused for them to realize there is truth out there. Good luck
  11. When I was searching for Toronto mission I found a news thing (from 2011) on lds.org that the two Toronto missions have been combined.
  12. I assume if I send something to the Mission address it would get to a missionary? In this day and age everybody keeps putting the actually address where the missionary is living right now. I assume that I can still send stuff to the Mission Address (office) and It will still go to the missionary? Also, Is there a good place to find mission addresses? I went to mission.net, The http://florida.tallahassee.mission.net One didn't work. And the other was suppose to be the Toronto Mission. But looking at this site there is a East and West one... So I'm not sure.. (West one looks way more updated then the east one)... Looking at it more, looks like the Toronto Missions where combined in 2011. Any idea of these addresses? Thanks
  13. I googled his name and can't find that he actually has his own website. I would be more then happy to send him an e-mail. Not sure how to get a hold of him?
  14. Pam can you elaborate on this more. The waiting period I felt was always for new members. We knew new members have to wait a year to go to the temple. But for active, valid Temple Recommend holders I don't know why they couldn't get married in the temple sooner then a year? There very well could be a waiting period between a civil marriage and a temple marriage. Its not a common thing.
  15. I get to do the Ward Directory again this year. Last year for the cover picture I just use the picture of Moroni I had (and I use for my profile picture on here). I'm doing a little different ward directory this year, but I wouldn't mind finding some picture for the cover. Obviously I'm not trying to make money on anything. Its for the 120 or so we plan to print up. I was thinking of one of the pictures by Simon Dewey. I have read a little about the Fair Use Copyright terms. It seems like it should be fine. Thoughts?
  16. Can you not go back and change the feedback? I think its only available for like 90 days. You could try to fight it more through paypal, but that would also be tough to do with out having the cords with you. I bought this Portable CD player and head phones from e-bay... Its was $5.00 but $20 shipping (which you could do that back in the day). The picture wasn't that clear. I bought it, and came to find out it was probably more refurbished then really used. (Somewhere in between) I contacted the seller, they said they could refund just the price of the item $5, (they aren't required to refund shipping) but I would have to pay to ship it back, which wasn't worth it. Honestly with the Head phones and CD player (that played mp3 cds it was probably still worth $20) I had left Negative feed back, but they contacted me, and said because I was willing to keep it, to at least change it to Neutral feed back so I did, or they did.

    Nauvoo

I would suggest more spring or fall. But there are other things to see during the summer. I am not a big fan of humility and it can get pretty humid there. (even end of May when I went once it was still pretty humid). You do need a car. Most of it is just park at some area and see even 4-5 places, then move to a different area. I think there is some buggy (horse) ride that might drop you off at different places I'm not sure if that is free or not. I would say 4-5 days. Even that is assuming you are going to spend a day at the temple. Two - Three days in Navuoo. You only really need a half of day at Carthage, but you can take your time. I would suggest going to the Navuoo Cemetery (See video). I think its on the maps they give you, but it is a little hard to find and a little out of the way. Our Singles ward went back in the day (2004). I was one of the video people. I found the video last year, and put it on Youtube if you want to see it. (The video does show its date)
  18. Are you going to do it in HD or not? Most video cameras have viewer that can flip around. Really just google it Let me google that for you
  19. I probably thought this at once. But lets do a review of the three kingdoms. Celestial Kingdom are those that follow Heavenly Father (keep his laws). Do what is required and gain Exaltation (Because of Christ) The Terrestrial Kingdom are those that knew at some point Christ and the Gospel. They knew how to repent but didn't in mortal life. They do get a second chance in post mortal life and they then acceptance the gospel and repent. This is for people that knew the Gospel but rejected it. These do gain forgiveness through Christ. They finally accept the atonement. Telestial Kingdom -- Is for those that have had the Gospel explained to them (most likely here on this life and in the next life) but still did not want the Atonement. They don't want any part of Christ, Heavenly Father, or salvation. (Its hard believe there will be people like this). These people are Resurrected last! They are actually cast into outer darkness to suffer. After they have suffered they get the Telestial Kingdom. Nobody can meet the demands of God's law, except a God. These people are not paying the price of Celestial Law because nobody can do that (except for Christ). They paying the price of a Telestial Law. As we don't know ratio between laws, we just know that these people are able to suffer this, and because they suffer they are allowed the Telestial Kingdom. (There is an end to there suffering so to speak). Now we get to those in Outer Darkness that Elder McConkie is speaking about. These are the ones that have seen the light, I mean seen it! To the degree they there is no doubt! They then reject this light and even turn against it. They are the ones that will stay in outer darkness forever. They can't be forgiving because there is no forgiveness for breaking this law. I don't see your problem when we understand how the kingdoms work. I don't see that from Elder McConkies quote. I don't see anything in his quote about gaining Salvation or Celestial Glory?
  20. The Resurrection is going to be an ongoing process through out the Millenium. It will be through this thousand years that we not only learn and grow, but also finish up the Temple Work. Not only will we have all the records, the temple work will be constant.
  21. The point of the Atonement was over come all the effects of the Fall. Because mortality was part of these effects, with all its diseases and ailments.
  22. I don't think there is a set time. Its a process. I'm sure the First Presidency probably like to restore blessings then taking them away.
  23. Welcome. One of my favoirte scriptures in the Book of Mormon says Doing small things do bring about great things!
