Apologies, I just noticed this is from 2011. Hopefully you're all moved in by now and it went well!

Plenty of good advice here, but I might suggest enlisting the help of a moving company if it's not that far and there's two sets of stairs involved. My father-in-law got hurt pretty badly falling on some stairs last time they tried doing it on their own. I know the cost may seem prohibitive, but you can usually get a couple guys for an hour or two, at least for the heavy stuff, without breaking the bank. I've used 3 Movers in the past just to have some extra hands on deck for the stuff I didn't want to deal with and it wasn't too much.

Cant say I really care for him either. But no matter what twitter is or becomes, it doesn't much affect me anyway.

There can definitely be a large gap between wealth and emergency preparedness. The issue is really that those people have the means to be prepared, but aren't, which makes it somewhat questionable (in my opinion) to ask for help that's strictly monetary. Those sites like gofundme are ripe for fraud and grifting and people definitely take advantage of it. I'm all for helping others out, but those folks you mention might be the ones I lend an open ear or shoulder to, rather than opening the check book.

I'm excited about the disaster it's become and how it's being run into the ground. Twitter is the worst place on the internet as far as hate speech, misinformation, and an all around clown show in general. Good riddance. That debacle with the checkmarks just shows you how much this "free speech" platform can have real world consequences when it goes unchecked (or you fire all the people in charge of moderation).

he's definitely showing some wear and tear, it seems both mentally and physically. I know the joke in this video is "haha, it's an old man" but Trump suffers from the same thing and you can tell, plus all these criminal investigations into him, his business being investigated, the Republican party turning on him - I think it's taking a toll, as it would with anyone. maybe we stop electing people that are approaching assisted living.
