I have no idea what the sentence means, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for your inputs, I think perhaps Rusty's "Think celestial" talk may be a good idea to try and find some material to fill in the gaps.

Our Sunday School president is very relaxed, as long as the material is taken from this month, he's happy, and section 76 seemed the easiest and most interesting to make a lesson on, I was also asked to do this lesson while I was studying section 76, and made a few post to that celestial glory thread, just felt like the right choice. You're right, this is a lot, but not all of it needs to be covered, just want enough material to keep myself going in the event of silent class-itis. Those are two good suggestions. I've haven't really incorporated much of your second suggestion. I will have a think, I worry about this point as I'm essentially a noob, teaching a class with elderly, life long members. I worry I will come across as inappropriately preachy if I try to inspire action.

Our normal adult Sunday School teacher is away, and asked if I would do the lesson for this week. Foolishly, I agreed. This is the adult Sunday school class so I am a bit nervous as I've not done a lesson in this setting yet, and I can count all the lessons I've done on one hand. Here are the notes I've prepared. Some feedback and advice would be much appreciated here.Lesson plan.docx

Some questions about the great Apostasy.

I've seen some online conspiracy theorists suggest that it has already happened. -

More struggles with Direction from stake President
HaggisShuu replied to carlimac's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
In all seriousness, I see alot of people sustain somebody and then spend a lot of time complaining and judging. Somebody may be terrible at a calling, but that may be the best they can do, and so is still magnifying that calling. I think some people are guilty of gossiping too much and taking these unpaid, voluntary (and often insignificant) responsibilities way too seriously. -

I like a good joke and a wind up. Every time I've been sustained for something I've considered opposing myself. Up until now I've gone with my better judgement but who knows in the future. -

Is this the Adam-Ondi-Ahman secret meet up you're referring to when you mentioned Adam returning? I haven't got around to learning much about the Millennium yet. -

I got it from Mary Poppins. There is an animated sequence after they jump into a chalk drawing on the pavement.

That's some fun trivia. I think it's a tragedy when tradition is discarded for convenience. I'm glad that little confectioner is still doing things properly. Kraft purchasing Cadbury was an absolute betrayal against British culture.

I read a bit on this history of the root beer, and it was originally a medicinal tincture made out of crushed sassafras and sarsaparilla root used by native Americans. It tasted quite pleasant and so became popular for recreation, especially as an alternative to alcoholic beer, unfortunately your regulatory body for food (I can't remember what it is called? Banned sassafras as an ingredient since then almost all root beer brands have transitioned into using alternative ingredients. (Motivated purely by cutting costs). This is a trend I despise. Cadbury's is a hallmark English chocolate brand, and historically has been made using 100% coco butter. Its competitors started introducing vegetable oils to their chocolates to cut costs, but Cadbury's remained committed to 100% coco fat. That was until it was bought out by Kraft, who very swiftly started introducing vegetable oils to the chocolate to cut costs. In addition they shut down the iconic Cadbury's factory (a historical and culturally significant factory) and outsourced production to Poland, again, to cut costs. So has Cadbury's gotten cheaper? Hell no. Since the craft takeover, the inferior quality chocolate, has gotten more expensive, and bars gotten smaller. The lesson: globalism mingled with corporate greed sucks.

I originally tried root beer a few years ago when Mug root beer was a popular online meme. Various UK based American themed confectionary merchants sell A&W. I tried 2 mouth fulls and tipped it away because I found it to be gross. Lately, I was watching the film "the lost boys" and there is a scene were an old man tells his grandkids he has only 2 house rules, don't touch his car, and don't touch his root beer. (I think) so I was inspired to try it again. I don't know if the brand bunderberg has a prescience in America, but it's an australian based high end drinks manufacturer, they make the best ginger beer I've ever had, and I noticed they do a root beer, so I gave it a go. Life changing, it is made with molasses, real liquorice root, real sassparilla root, real ginger root, real vannilla pods and real molasses, fermented for a number of days and bottled. This was genuine heaven in a bottle. Because I enjoyed this so much, I've been able to tolerate more artificial brands (like A&W). It's become my new favourite soft drink.

No no, it teaches Adam is Michael, is what I was saying. Which is what Brigham Young seems to have taught.
-
Ahhh, so this is the terrifying "Adam God theory". I did read a quote regarding this once, that people use to discuss Adam God theory, but it said that Adam was Michael the Arch Angel, and God. (Which is nearly what is taught in the endowment sessions) so I fail to see the big scary controversy.

I beg of you, source option 3, I would love to read Brighams teaching on this. I am really conflicted on this, I feel that the endowment teaches 1, but you really hear 2 on the pulpit, but 3 and 4 make way more sense. I don't think the fall being guaranteed would be Calvinist, just a symptom of the veil of forgetfulness.
