  1. I missed missed Saturday's due to travelling ,watched most of Sunday's session but I was exhausted from my travels and I don't remember most of it Please let me know good ones to listen to. Much love.
  2. Step 1) Download the Video Speed Controller plugin for your browser (link to Chrome plugin) Step 2) Wait until 10:40 a.m. Mountain Time on Saturday of General Conference weekend Step 3) Start watching General conference on YouTube at 1.5 speed Step 4) Complete an entire session including prayers and hymns in 1 hour and 20 minutes, finishing the session at the correct time it would normally end. Step 5) Repeat as needed Note: You can speed the video to 1.5 without the plugin, however, the plugin gives more control and options than the built in YouTube speed feature. Disclaimer: General Conference is for learning, personal revelation, and inviting the spirit (among other things). Do not do this if it will impede your ability to accomplish those goals. I personally watch video content at 2x speed on a daily basis and am used to processing it. Most speakers during conference are not speaking very fast which makes it easier to do this with great results even for those not accustomed! Happy Conference
  3. (This isn’t a how-to question about the forum, but I didn’t know where else to put it.) Anybody know if/where I can download full General Conference sessions in an mp3 format? I have an older mp3 player that I can use at work. I do have the Gospel Library app on my computer, but that stays at home. I’d like to get full sessions (not individual talks) of both old and recent conferences. No luck on lds.org or archive.org, so far.
  4. Hello! A couple of weeks ago I came across a General Conference talk where a general authority related some counsel given to a man about his debts. The man owed another individual, and made a statement something like, ''what about my house''? the counsel was given, ''so what about your house, wouldn't you rather honor your commitments? or wouldn't your wife rather you honor your commitments made that man? This talk was in the 70's or 80's I believe. is there anyone out there that can help me relocate this talk, session, etc.? Thanks.
  5. If you've ever wanted to listen to old General Conference talks, take a look at this Channel. LDS General Conference I've uploaded over 2,250 talks, going all the way back to April 1975!! Be sure to watch this,
  6. I am just curious.. How will you be watching General Conference???
  7. Good morning everyone! I am beginning to plan my events calendar for 2009 and one of the major events for me will be returning to Utah for the first time in 11 years and attending General Conference. It will also be sort of anniversary celebration for me as I will celebrate being a member of the Church for 11 years on 10 March 2009. Pam gave me an excellent ideal with the post about an upcoming get together. I know that it is some time off, but I was wondering if it would be possible for some of us to get together and attend Conference together and maybe even have lunch in between sessions. General Conference should be the first weekend in April which will be 4 and 5 April 2009. I plan to be in Utah either Thursday, 2 April 2009, or Friday, 3 April 2009. Please let me know if this sounds like a good ideal. I would love to meet some of you and what a better time and opportunity. Thanks in advance. I ask that you please keep all feedback to this post on topic. Any off topic comments will be ignored/deleted. Thanks.
