  1. Here is the scripture where the thought came to mind for reference. Alma 32:16 "Therefore, blessed are they who humble themselves without being compelled to be humble; or rather, in other words, blessed is he that believeth in the word of God, and is baptized without stubbornness of heart, yea, without being brought to know the word, or even compelled to know, before they will believe." The question is, "What are some modern day examples of being compelled to be humble?" I recognize that this scripture in particular is talking about baptism but it can be other aspects of our lives such as doing or not doing something on the Sabbath or the reverse too. What are some examples you have seen in your own or someone else's life and how could have the situation been better if you only chose to be humble to begin with? Try to only share stories that it was clear that you were compelled to be humble and how did you know you were compelled to begin with? Again a story of you, someone else, or another scripture.
  2. It is worrisome that many posts are discussing many peripheral aspects of the gospel of Jesus Christ and yet serious doctrines are often propagated by opinions and lack the strength of the words of Christ. We live in a day when we are highly distracted by the world and there is not enough attention given to the Doctrine of Christ. Is there truly anything more important than His doctrine? THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST IS THE TRUTH, INVITATION AND MEANS WHEREBY ALL THAT ARE 'JUST AND TRUE' SONS OR DAUGHTERS OF JESUS CHRIST WILL LITERALLY RECEIVE HIM WHILE IN MORTALITY BY BEING A PERSONAL WITNESS OF THE MARKS OF HIS ATONEMENT, EXPERIENCE HIS GLORY, AND BE PERSONALLY TAUGHT BY HIM IN HIS PRESENCE. Wow! Yes, every person is expected to actually receive the Savior, Jesus Christ while in mortality as part of one's personal ascension process. The good news is that any person can learn, understand, believe and live the Doctrine of Christ on their own. It is a personal journey of each and every person. Don't take anyone else's word for it--learn it directly from the Lord through His words and His spirit. Start your journey in The Doctrine of Christ Study Guide at www.ProjectDoctrineOfChrist.com.
  3. On the second coming: Children shall grow up without sin...(D&C 45:57-59) But yet, "for it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things" (2 Nephi 2:11) Also so...when children are born in the celestial kingdom while parents are in a "resurrected state" will children be resurrected at that point? Will they have flesh and bone? If so they just skipped mortality and went straight to immortality. We were all promised resurrection for choosing our first estate and following God's plan. So for all the children we have after the 2nd coming will they just be those who get resurrection without living through mortality? Do all the infants who die before birth or right after share in this? Notes: (D&C 137:10) children who die b4 accountability are saved 4 celest. kingdom. (D&C 63:51) children shall grow up until they become old Keep this going. Post your most thought provoking discoveries and let people offer their ideas as well as sources to why they think that way. Citing scripture, prophets, or GA's words.
