Hi, my name is Rachelanne and hopefully I don't write too much (I tend to ramble).

I've been a member of the Evangelical church my whole life. My family is full of die-hard Evangelicals and they are VERY against the Mormon church. I, however, have been doing lots of research on the LDS church and believe it's the right way for me to go. I haven't talked to my family about it (not looking forward to THAT confrontation) but hopefully will get the courage soon.

Other than that, I'm a poor college kid who spends way too much time on the internet, I'm severely bipolar and have pretty bad ADHD. Oh, and I play classical/electric violin (16 years) and sing professionally.

Hi Rachel Anne and welcome. You almost have names of my grandchildren....

I am from a family strictly lutheran, so I am the black sheep. They told me to read an anti book which I did and alomost threw up and cried thinking, how someone can write so: almost truths, but now quite, just enough wrong to make things sound wrong and weird.... One who KNOWS cant help seeing through to what is the aim of those people.

Stay strong and calm it will be ok. God will never disown you even though your family might!

Hi, RachelAnne. Glad to have you with us.

Please continue to read and ponder the scriptures, always seeking the Truth. God will bless you, as it says in Moroni 10: 3-5.

Your family may not accept now the Light you are coming to know, but with time, faith, and prayer they may. Even if they do not, you have to decide to do what is right and live the fulness of the Gospel. May our Father bless you.

Like you, I had difficulty with my family when I was first introduced to the Gospel. I was 16. My father threatened to throw the missionaries out of the house. None of the rest of the family had any interest. (My mother died when I was eight years of age; I have had her Temple work done, as well as for my father who has since passed on.)

Be strong. Have faith.
