applepansy
This was a question our instructor in Gospel Doctorine class asked yesterday. Its made me think about what I truly do "hold on to" in the rough times in life. After sleeping on it. . . Trust me to make things more complicated than they are meant to be . . . I boiled it down to one statement. I hold on to my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is truly my Savior. now its your turn. applepansy
jjrogers
I hold onto the fact that God would never ask me to go through something that was so hard unless it was truly for my good. Now, having said that, it doesn't cover consequences from my sins.
Misshalfway
I think I am with you, Apple. For me it is the "Jesus, take the wheel" when life gets too hard.

BenRaines
Hemi beat me to it. The Iron Rod, which is The Word of God. Two of my favorite scriptures are the story of Job and the 122 Section of the Doctrine & Covenants. Art thou greater than he? Guest Godless
I cling to all of the things that are still going right in my life in order to maintain a proper perspective and a positive attitude. I also have some amazing friends that I can turn to when things really get bad.
applepansy
Hemi, you and Ben made the primary song pop into my head. . . Hold to the rod, the IIIIIrrron rod. . . . lalalalala
BenRaines
Not bad for a guy who never attended Primary. Well I had four kids that did. The vision as recounted by Nephi in the Book of Mormon should be used by all as a guide to what can happen when we let go of the Iron Rod or what can happen to us as we hold to it.
