Associated Press (AP) in Obama's pocket

This is very interesting. AN AP poll show that for the first time in years Americans believe the country is heading in the right direction. The poll also show that 64% of people approve of Obama's performance in office.

On the other hand, Rasmussen Reports, which does polling for a living, shows only 37% think the country is heading in the right direction with 57% believing otherwise. Those that think Obama is doing at least somewhat well in 55%. Thats a large difference in polls.

Since Rasmussen called the last two elections closer that anyone else and the fact that last year a poll done by AP shows they interviewred a larger proportion of Democrats than Republicans on Bush's popularity, I'll have to go with Rasmussen on this one.

Another liberal media concern in Obama's pocket. I wonder where they are going to hide when the pocket springs a leak. Which could be very soon.

Good catch...

Put it down as a media ploy into making Americans believing everything is ok. Actually, it is will grow worse. Think about our enemies out there, now seeing our real weakness, by destroying our economic market.

I have read another poorly researched article by CNN, describing and stating profitability for BofA when in fact; it was primarily due to a merger and some serious major cutbacks that help the bank into the black. I don't how worse it will become with our own news room in reporting the truth.

It is, after all, no longer reporting but ideological positioning. Most of the press in the US no longer adhere to former ethical mandates of the profession, e.g. to bring truthful and unbiased information to the public. Now it is all about opinion shaping and ideological posturing to push the agenda and catering to the political task masters and sponsors.

Very sad.

The pocket has allready sprung a very bad leak in case you didnt notice in the last 8 years? instead of lambasting and following rush limbaugh, we need to hope and pray that obama is going the right direction; cause if he isnt; were all in very big trouble; lets stand behind this president; he is for you and me; he is for the homeless, the hungry, the unimployed, the uninsured, he is against killing thousands of inocent families for sefish and stupid reasons; he is against big bussiness and there multi million dollar bonuses while the rest of us are losing our jobs, homes, health insurance, dignity, marriages, and yes even lives. this is not socialism; it is called fairness. lets all pray things are getting better. its obvious the other way didnt work.:)

:please:

The main stream press have been in the tank for the left for many years including the past eight years. I occasionally listen to Rush, but mostly I observe what is going on and rely on my core beliefs and exercise some common sense....maybe you should try it sometime. The rather lengthy list of what and who President Obama is for is probably true.....it was probably true of President Bush and President Clinton and every other President. I am not going to call what Obama has thus far done socialism or fairness.....I will call it what it really is.....recklessness,stupidity, ineptitude and just plain dangerous. When you speak of the other way not working, you are right. Bush was a big spending liberal, but Obama is just Bush on steroids. Common sense should tell you that the money being spent by our government is irresponsible and just some rudimentary understanding of basic economics would lead you to conclude that this debt is unsustainable and frankly unforgivable.

You must have an interesting definition of Socialism. I'm no political expert, but I do have a degree in Political Science and I know the characteristics of Socialism when I see them. If you really believe what you posted you've been spending too much time on the DNC website.

Bytor, you need to lay off of the personal insults. Many of us here don't agree with you, and think you are not the one using common sense, but we don't actually say it in those words.

Well, I guess I just did. But you get the idea. :P

Everyone needs to read two books, both written by Bernard Goldburg:

Bias: A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News

A Slobbering Love Affair: The True (And Pathetic) Story of the Torrid Romance Between Barack Obama and the Mainstream Media

If you think the mainstream media was fair in this last election, you simply weren't paying attention.

The above title received not attention from the media at all. It just flew under the radar to the bottom of Amazon list.

As demographics change, more and more elections will become a pageant based on social and psychological appeal and less about actual issues or substance. This last one was teh first chapter in this new trend.

We are witnessing the deconstruction of our political system slowly but surely. And, as most people have no experience or insight into any other, the changes may be imperceptible to them. And then it may be too late.

Elphaba,

Thank you for setting me straight. I will be happy to rephrase my comments if you find it offensive. I think if you will reread my post, you might see that the first stone was cast by Jadams who leveled the charge of "following Rush Limbaugh", to which I felt compelled to reply. I am certain that you and others feel that I am lacking in common sense, but you would be in the minority. Most people tend to believe that out of control deficit spending is foolishness, regardless of who is in the White House. The same pattern followed by blind Bush supporters is now being followed by Obama supporters. The irony is that Obama has really just extended Bush's policies.......at a much higher level and you are ok with it.....because it's not Bush. That is just blind ideology...IMO.

Anybody remember the AP poll from October 23, 2008? Here is the headline from the Bloomberg Report:

McCain Draws Even With Obama in AP Poll; Fox Shows Obama Lead

McCain Draws Even With Obama in AP Poll; Fox Shows Obama Lead - Bloomberg.com

Makes me wonder whether those guys at Fox were trying to undermine that old guy from Arizona, by all but giving the election to Obama. What was their agenda? Conservative minds want to speculate.

;)
