john doe
Okay, I have a serious question. If Utah wins a game they should have won big but uninspiringly, and BYU wins a game very few people expected them to even compete in, which team's fans have more bragging rights at church on Sunday? beefche
I understand how a missionary can be healthy while on a mission. What I don't understand is how a missionary can be college football healthy--that's a different animal. Of course BYU has bragging rights--it's the Lord's University. Ruck
McKay Jacobson served a mission to Japan that ended in January. He has had plenty of time to get back into shape. Oh and of course you should be able to brag, BYU over Oklahoma is bigger than Utah over Utah State.
pam
Who cares whether UofU can brag..It's all about the Cougs anyway.
talisyn
I missed the game BYU was suppose to lose by 25 points and won by 1??? Sometimes earning a paycheck just isn't worth it
BenRaines
Funny thing is that while BYU is the church owned university most of the General Authorities have degrees from U of U. LOL At least Elder Holland, Elder Oakes and Elder Bednar were presidents of LDS church universities. Ben Raines
pam
President Eyring was president of Ricks when I attended.

Moksha
... which team's fans have more bragging rights at church on Sunday? There are more Runnin' Ute fans in my quorum, but BYU braggers do so with much more righteousness. Even when they lose, they are able to claim moral victories. This was such an excellent win, but I suspect the BCS advocates will turn a blind eye to anyone questioning their lock on the money bowls even when they see that other conferences can knock off their top contenders. BYU needs to go into the Superdome and wipe the floor with Tulane and then come home and beat Florida State to convince people they are as good as their win over Oklahoma. OU was the first game of the season and very quirky for both teams. Easy to see that it could have gone either way. If BYU loses to either Tulane (unranked) or Florida State (unofficially ranked about 32th), The OU win will be seen as a fluke and nothing but luck.
