Introducing myself:

I am 30 and born into the church. I'm married and my wife was born into it as well.

Both our mothers were converts. Have a 4 1/2 yr old daughter.

Currently living in San Diego, CA and I've lived in CA for 29 years but will change next year.

The cost of living has proven too much and we are looking to relocate to the Omaha, NE or Eastern Iowa regions early next year. Excited about a change and 4 seasons again.

I'm currently in the Ward SS Presidency and was a Financial Clerk and Primary teacher before those.

[incidently on the move, they sure don't make it easy for active members to connect with leadership through email, etc (e.g. lds.org prevents lists from being shown outside of the stake) so if anyone has any contacts for the areas mentioned above (prefer email) I would appreciate it!:)] Thanks.

You can always look up possible wards/branches as to where you are moving to and contact the bishop, stake president, branch president about your intentions on moving, and the logistics there.

I am assuming you mean searching lds.org for the building phone. That really doesn't get you anywhere. I prefer email for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that I was a Clerk and know how often messages get passed corrected from the office phones.

Thanks for everyone's warm welcome! :D

Hi ...Lund and well come. I hope you find this site a nice place to visit.

So officially:

Dear Newbie: Welcome to LDS.net. You will find here an ecclectic mix of LDS and some non-members. While the site is dedicated to the Gospel, and to promoting the Church to a world that often does not understand us, we also make room for conversations about current events, and about social and cultural practices within the Church. If your main desire is to learn about the Church, consider starting with the "Learn About Mormonism" forums. For more advanced teachings, that will often include a variety of perspectives, some non-LDS, consider the Gospel section of forums.

While you are welcome to all main sections, be aware this site makes room for a variety of opinions and personalities. Some posters can be passionate about their views, and occasionally more so about them than about the souls of visitors. If you find something particularly offensive, feel free to make a report by clicking the appropriate tab.
