Can premortal spirits visit with postmortal ones?

Hi everyone, I have a serious question. My little brother past away about 2 months ago he was only 18 and is sorely missed. My wife and I are expecting our first son and have had some spiritual experiences concerning my brother. My question is: is it possible and doctrinally correct for premortal spirits(my unborn son) and postmortal spirits (my deceased brother) to visit each other? I want to know if anyone has any scriptural referrences or talks given by general authorities etc. I want to know if my son an my brother are together or not.

As far as I know, your question is not answered in revealed doctrine, though LDS "folk doctrine" has long held that such communication between premortal and postmortal spirits takes place. Personally, I doubt it, but I don't think it's completely out of the question. My reasoning is as follows:

Our premortal spirits dwell with the Father. We assume that means they dwell in the celestial kingdom, the realm where God dwells. This does seem a reasonable assumption. In contrast, postmortal spirits dwell in what is often called the "spirit world". This is manifestly not the celestial kingdom. However, the righteous who have made the baptismal covenant dwell in a part of the spirit world sometimes called "paradise". Might there be some sort of spiritual communication between paradise and the celestial kingdom, something beyond normal prayer? I think that's possible.

Of course, this is all highly speculative and is not in any sense a part of the teachings of the gospel.

I would assume since you have all chosen in the pre-existance to become a family, you once did chat and know each other in that realm. I don't know if they communicate freely with each other now, but you all did once.

Hi and welcome. Interesting question. I think they can, as our memory of the before birth is taken so there is no reason they could not.

Give a simple answer, no. There is a separation of those unborn spirits and the decease. What we suspect is paradise is not the Celestial Kingdom but here on earth. As it with the spirit prison, the same location but separated. President Brigham Young spoke about this on the location of such places.

Unborn Spirits reside in the present of the FATHER and not here on this earth. There is a great separation between both states of life. Only those who are now residing in the Celestial Kingdom, meaning, resurrected will have access to the unborn spirits.

Now, there is nothing preventing you to have a visitation from your brother if he lived a worthy life. Paradise and living is a very thin veil.

How many us go to the temple and note, amount of those who are of the living and not of the living in attendance?

Vort, do you have any reference that clarifies that we actually lived in the celestial kingdom in the premortal life? I`m studying about that and would be most grateful if I could have some reliable source from you!
