Hi All.

I'm working on a project in which I am trying to draw good analogies between Basketball, or specifically Basketball plays and Church and Gospel principles. Being a convert to the church and not having playbed baksetball since I was a kid I'm struggling somewhat.

If anyone could assist me with any of their own ideas I would be so very grateful.

I basically have a team of teenagers that I am trying to draw paralells for them between the gospel and their basketball.

thanks and I look forward to some inspiring responses.

Kindly

Darran

I can see a parallel in making a basket and eternal life.

The goal in basketball is the basket. The goal in life is making the celestial kingdom.

There will be many times in life that we don't quite meet our goals. Yet we keep trying. We might make a rim shot but the harder we work towards our goal, we eventually make that basket. There will be times in life that things we do will be huge steps such as a 3 pointer. Yet there will also be times that the steps we make will also be smaller. (One pointer free throw).

There may also be times in our life where we are fouled out. But we are given another chance the next game. The same can be said with repentence.
