Incidentally, one of our family friends is a Pentecostal minister, and we get along quite well.
Winnie G
The evangelical christen book store in my town carry’s all the “The Chronicles of Narnia”. I think those that fined something evil in the youth fantasy writings are to busy looking for the devil under rocks and privet homes behind doors and others thoughts and wish to crush the imitation of others. Their the ones who represent fictitiously and wish to conform others to their way of thinking.

Lindy
I saw it the other night... I really liked it. Some battle scenes..... but no gore. Adults were sniffing in the audience at one point.....
Tammy
I had played the tapes for my children when they were in the van traveling between gymnastics, wrestling, and music lessons. They loved it. They were 8 to 12 at the time. My husband and I listened to all 7 books on cd before going to see the movie recently. We absolutely loved it!!! It keep us teary eyed during parts (yes even my husband). Definitely one we would buy when it comes out on DVD. Speaking as an assistant librarian the movie and the book are really popular even among our more religious patrons. I hope they make more movies for the rest of the books. Guest Unorthodox
I found the Christian symbolism fairly mild...it was only obvious in the death of the lion. I actually thought his resurrection sort of cheapened his sacrifice though. In any case, I liked the movie alot, but didn't love it. It was alot of fun to watch, and although I like fantasy movies, it seemed the huge number of races of Narnia didn't have much depth to them (as in Lord of the Rings). However, being aimed at kids, that is understandable.
