Missions

Just a quick question. We have recently had our school speech finals. One of the girls did hers on her brother who is currently in the Pacific Islands on mission. He went when he was 19.

Maybe I have misread posts but I had the general idea that missions were generally taken on in the early 20s or have I misunderstood? It seemed to be quite young or is that a normal age?

My son was 19 when he arrived on the south pacific island of Fiji last May. He's 20 now and is on his third transfer. 1. Sigatoka (west side of island). 2. Suva (south and the capital) 3. Lautoka (north). He's having the time of his life. He made Zone Leader about a month ago so he must be doing something right. :) We're so proud of him. He did say there are female missionaries there but did not say how old they were.

That is super cool, Michael-- a family friend just sent their son to the MTC, and he is Fiji bound. It's a small world!

The son of friends of mine just got home from Fiji.
