Dravin
Does anyone ever actually get better with anti depressants? All of the people I know on them are still just as depressed as they were. That leads me to believe meds are not the solution but if someone claims it works for them all the more power to you. Antidepressants (which are certainly not the answer for everyone and everything don't get me wrong) work by influencing brain chemistry but they don't correct the damaged mechanisms that made influence necessary to begin with. For the record if you stop taking Lipotor your cholesterol goes back to previous levels. Cialis doesn't fix the underlying physiological problems either, if you stop taking it then its benefits go away. Likewise if you stop taking Foradil your asthma symptoms come back in full force. Not all medication is intended to cure a disease but quite a few are intended to control it. One final example is insulin. Diabetics are certainly better taking insulin but taking insulin will not cure your diabetes, it controls it.The fact that a drug controls, not cures, a condition is not indicative of it being ineffective unless it is suppose to cure and not control.
