H. David Burton - Sunday a.m. session

Recommended Posts

On April 6, 1936, President Heber J. Grant announced what would later become known as the Welfare Program of the Church.

An emphasis of this program is personal responsibility and self reliance.

Most programs are designed with a short sided objective to help people opposed to helping people help themselves.

We’ve been taught to avoid debt, implementing principles of thrift, prepare for times of distress, deliver the discipline to distinguish between needs and wants and live accordingly.

We cannot inherit the full measure of eternal life without being fully invested in carrying for others while on this earth.

The work of caring for one another, of being kind to the poor is a sanctifying work.
