President Thomas S. Monson - Saturday am session

Recommended Posts

This conference marks 48 years since President Monson was called to the Quorum of the 12.

The building of temples will continue uninterrupted.

Temples are places were relationships are sealed throughout eternity.

They have decided to rebuild the Provo Tabernacle to become the 2nd temple in Provo.

The following temples will be built:

Barenguila, Colombia

Durba, South Africa

Star Valley, Wyoming

Paris, France

A fund is being set up for a one time use for those that have never had the opportunity to attend a temple. Donations can be made through the Church.

4. Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo

EDIT: LDS Newsroom has a page for the announcement.

EDIT2: That same page has a artist rendering of what the temple will look like. I'll post it here:

It was actually leaked to Paris news that there was going to be a temple built in Paris shortly after last conference. The church released a statement about it confirming the rumors, but now the temple is "officially" announced in conference.

I read about that. The media had leaked it in France but it had not officially been announced until today.
