Family Search states:

"If an individual that was born or married within the last 110 years has died, please add death information to the record, or the system will treat the individual as living."

To add death information to a living record that you can see:

In the new FamilySearch, find the individual.

Click or double-click the name to see the individual's details (below the pedigree or in a pop-up).

Click the Details button.

To the right of Death, click theAddlink.

Follow the instructions on the screen to add the death information.

Ok... Managed to combine the records...

Wow... Talk about human error...

Now all I have to do is wait to seal her daughter to her... sigh

Yes it can get confusing sometimes. The new system is easier than what we had before.

My grandfather did all his own temple work when he was alive. He served a mission, married in the temple, he was a bishop at one time. But someone did his temple work, not once, not twice....but over 8 times. The new system got rid of all the duplications.

Wowzers...

Did my Aunt's work for her in 2009.... My grandmother died a few weeks ago...

Just anxious to get them sealed... We wanted to get it done while my grandmother was still alive but she injured herself & was not able to get to the Temple while my sister was visiting....

Was so hoping that because she was a member that I would not need to wait that year... But alas.. Looks like I will have to wait :(
