Dravin
No, it just feels like you don't have any friends when you have a funny calculus joke and realize you can't tell it to anyone because all you'd get is blank looks and crickets. Traveler
Oh my - this joke is bad. "i" is symbolic of complex numbers (also called imaginary numbers - which is where the "i" comes from - but the point is that complex numbers are not real numbers). And pi is a real but irrational number. Now that we understand that each is criticizing the other from prejudice - I now have no friends on this forum. Not from those that understand the joke; that are laughing at the un-revelant responses from those that did not get it - nor from the others that do not understand the full context that do not like being laughed at.The Traveler

You are not a friend to your husband?Just a note: Einstein's wife was asked if she understood his theories of relativity or special relativity? No - she responded - but I understand Albert. Dravin
Really?Poo. I followed Loudmouths advise. I put a lot of effort into this geeky joke. The problem with 'ignorance' jokes is knowing if it's a joke or actual ignorance. Guess the wrong way and things can get messy, people who know better don't appreciate being corrected and someone who's ignorant doesn't like being laughed at.
