circusboy01
Has anybody here read Three Degrees of Glory by Melvin Ballard? I'm reading it now, and it's cleared up some confusion for me. Great book. Brother Ray
JosephP
Not yet, but the complete text is available online atFull text of "Three degrees of glory; discourse, Ogden Tabernacle, Sept.22, 1922"Thanks for the suggestion. There does seem to be serious debate about the racial component to his writings. Edited October 4, 2012 by JosephP

There does seem to be serious debate about the racial component to his writings.Brother Ballard wrote the book, before the Blacks received the Priesthood.. I don't remember his exact words. But he thought the way many members did, and probably still do." they were a group that did not choose a side (fence sitters) so as punishment their skin was turned dark." That my be true, or it may not. Heavenly Father knows why He kept the Priesthood from them. If, and when He wants us to know He will tell, who ever is the Prophet at that time, and he will tell us.
