The beehive symbol is found on the interior and exterior of many of our temples. All of this symbolism is brought about by the idea that good things all come together with the use of many small hands. We are to love God and to love and care for our neighbors as we love ourselves. Service is the very definition of pure religion. What do we need to do to become like the dedicated honeybees? How do we make the mighty change of heart that Alma says is essential? There is power in the love for God and for His children. When that love is tangibly manifest in millions of acts of kindness it will sweeten and nourish the world. One daily practice that can make a difference to every member of the Church: In your morning prayer ask Heavenly Father to guide you and to recognize an opportunity to serve one of his precious children. Then go about the day looking for someone to help. In many instances Heavenly Father answers another person’s prayer through us (quoting President Monson). It is vital that we serve each other.The spirit will guide you and you will be able to discern a particular service that only you will be able to give.At the end of the day, let us be able to say yes to “have I done any good in the world today.” Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
