Um, the separation of the physical from the spiritual is what defines mortal death. Without a spirit to give it life, what purpose or use is a physical body? Immortality means the body and spirit will be united forever, to never be separated again.

Yes, and the doctrine is quite clear that this will not happen any more after the resurrection. The question (meaningless as it is) is simply whether it COULD happen. :)

I would propose that, no, absolutely not. There are eternal laws that even God must follow or He would cease to be God. I suspect keeping ahold of his body is one of those laws.

What would happen if a resurrected celestial body partook of the fruit of the tree of knowledge?

All of us having vicariously partaken of the tree of knowledge of good and evil through Adam...I suspect that nothing would happen.

Insightful questions, and questions which have never entered into my mind. Well, seeing my height is 5' 8", I am thinking I will be able to reshape my body height to 6' 3".

Jesus was probably much closer to 5'8" than to 6'3".
