Vort Posted March 10, 2015 Report Share Posted March 10, 2015 We got rid of cable a month ago and bought a Roku. We use it along with a Netflix account my oldest son gave us for Christmas. One of the free channels is a channel dedicated to MIT lectures. Lately, and with no real background in the subject except my physics degree, I have been watching the nuclear reactor engineering lectures. Believe it or not, it's really extremely interesting. You could hear my son critically pointing out the silliness of the girls wanting to marry for money from the other end of the row. Hahaha! Last Friday I faced a spiritual crisis. Golf with the guys or Cinderella with the daughters? Needless to say the Christian brothers went golfing sans the prisonchaplain. I liked the movie a lot. There were a few minor anachronisms (Cinderella as a PETA activist--seriously???), but it was still fun, and well worth it.
