I've finished recording my first song!

Ok Klein, out with it.

Did you make this thing from start to finish? Who did the instrumentals and vocals? What equipment did you use to mix and whatnot? (Put all this stuff in the description area next time, dude!)

I must say, if this is your baby, I enjoyed it much more than your videos. You may have found a niche in the nonvisual media into which you can expand.

(I've never read the book, so I probably missed much of what your song had to offer.)

I didn't make all of it, but I was present for the entire production.

Guitar/Drums: my buddy jonjon

Bass/Audio Engineering: my buddy The Beard

Female Vocals: my friend/neighbor Cass

Choral Vocals: The Rhett Henley Riflemen

Verse: Your Dear Helmer

I believe The Beard used Protools. I wanted to put all of these credits in the video, but I wasn't sure how my friends would want to be billed. We are currently filming a music video for the song (Don't worry! This one will actually have polished production values), and I will be sure to appropriately credit everyone involved.

Thank you for your time, and thank you for your kind words.

The song is not actually based on that book, we just used that as a movie poster because Rhett Henley absolutely LOVES Louis L'amour novels.

Here is the original:

Here's ours again for a comparison:

(my favorite part is the horse's derpy eye)
